OK guys, Jackwww's password doesn't seem to be working properly.
Best I can tell, I can reset the password using my admin password, but then I need to play his turn for him. Rather than doing that, I am going to resend the 4000 BC save game, so all of you will have to choose your password again and replay your last move.
Shouldn't be a big deal, I don't think.

Okay. I'll have to remember to post on 'Poly after I make my move, but feel free to play your turn in case I forget.

By the way, I didn't know Accelerated Production was turned on. Should be interesting...

3900 BC Sent to Americans.
Hmmm...Accelerated production wasn't supposed to be turned on (see game setup screen shot). However, it appears as if this is the case.
Any preferences for continuing with accelerated production or restarting without? I've never played a game with accelerated production turned on.

I say we leave it on. Everyone has the same advantage plus it allows us to get into the game much faster. No waiting 10 turns to get our first warrior etc.

If everyone is willing, I would very much like to have a two-hour or so "kick start" session for this PBEM game. In another PBEM I'm participating in, this was the suggestion to avoid very early-game boredom. If we do do this, I suggest starting over with accelerated production off (I don't think I'll like it...but, who knows?).
However, if everyone just wants to keep going so as not to lose any time, I'm fine with that. Thoughts?

Sorry about the confusion, guys. I'm not sure how I ended up with accelerated production turned on.
If we could arrange a time, I would prefer Dominae's solution. We would lose the time we have already put in, but I think that over the long term it would be better.
Also, if we have a kick start session we would get to the interesting part of the game quicker. Maybe just shuttle the save game around via IM or e-mail during a 2-3 hour dedicated block? I think this would help to create a really great game.
Redstar1, Jackwww, what do you guys think of the idea?

Maybe we can go for a kick off session on saturday? I'll throw out a time of 11:00 MST (GMT -7:00), for 2-3 hours. I think this makes it morning for the USA players, just afternoon for folks in Canada, and evening for folks in Ireland.
Maybe if we all have the same IM client (ICQ?)we can chat and send the game files that way, otherwise we can use e-mail.
Any thoughts on this plan?

A lot depends on the time as you say. Chances are I'll be at a concert on saturday evening so maybe that won't suit. See what everyone else has to say on the matter first.....
