"have a nice day" is not spam , ..... its a way of wishing you a sincere nice day , no matter what race , religion or colour , comp , or planet you are from , .... but as always there are always people who dont care in this violent sad world , ....

Actually, there are many, many Apolytoners that, I daresay, have contributed many more valuable posts than Panag did .

True Remarkable doesn´t automatically mean interesting. Both Thorn/EvC/etc. and Spink/Bodds/etc. are remarkable in their own way. But I wouldn´t want to read an interview with them...

Yeah if there was a vote about who to interview Panag might do quite well.

hi ,

Solver has enough on his mind , and there are dozens of people who deserve an interview , so no poll and no interview for a very long time

the tread reads ; a calling for fanished faces , .......

have a nice day

It's Bede's Death Song, a poem composed by The Venerable Bede on his death-bed in 735AD which makes it one of the oldest poems in English.

Strictly speaking it should be written in the Northumbrian Saxon dialect to reflect the original, but I think the West Saxon version is more attractive. Besides, as a Wessex man I'm biased.

In modern English it reads...

"Before the unavoidable journey there, no one becomes
wiser in thought than him who, by need,
ponders, before his going hence,
what good and evil within his soul,
after his day of death, will be judged."

Coming from a man who knew he was dying it's rather moving.

This thread has gotten off-topic too often to this point and is hereby closed.

One and all are encouraged to re-start the discussion on the "Faces of Apolyton" series in another thread, but this time keep it on-topic.
