Next Chat - 2000 GMT Sunday
The next chat will be 2000 GMT on Sunday and I will be running it (MrWIA is heading out of his country for a while in RL and will be w/o internet access I believe).

The only minister who has told me that he can't make it so far is Togas. Togas, who in particular (either from FAM or another you designate) would have authority to sit in for you during the chat or would you rather leave detailed conditional instructions with me? If something comes up in the chat relating to FAM, would you prefer I stop the chat to wait for further orders from you or go with a decision from your designated deputy?

(same goes for any other minister unable to make it).

Other issues:

MoS: I need a technology research que from the Ministry of Science. Not just one tech, but a list techs, in order of what we'd want to research. FA is currently a place-holder for research. That should give Thud something to do by Sunday

MoPW: I need orders from you through the next 3 turns (until the FP is done - that's where we plan to end the chat). There were no MoPW orders for the last chat.

MoE: Where (as in what thread) is the last budget you established? (anyone who knows where it is can answer this one for me ) Reddawg, if you want to change your budget, go ahead and post it in the orders thread MrWIA started (it's topped).

I have orders for all other ministries. You are free, of course, to alter your orders for the turns we plan to play in the upcoming chat. Just make sure you alert me if you've changed anything (I'll probably make a print-out - as in hard copy - of your orders Sunday before the chat).

That about covers the initial issues.

Let me know if I'm missing something critical.

I used to think dalnet was bad, but the Apolyton server is the all-time worst.

DALnet was a nightmare. The Apolyton server works very good for me, and many others. The reason for aborted connections must be at your side.

I don't know, must be a software compatibility problem. I can access undernet everytime but both of the Apolyton ones refuse to allow me on.
