Help with Trade agreements
Can anyone tell me how to peacefully cancel a trade agreement with the AI? I've only had the game a couple of weeks but can't find how to stop the trade after the 20 turns is up. I'm sure there is a simple way but I'm damned if I can find it.

I've also a related question - is there an easy way to see how long a trade agreement (or peace treaty etc) has to go before it expires. The obvious way is to count the turns, but because of my circumstances (work, family etc) I tend to grab a couple of turns here and there between chores so quickly lose track.

Thanks anyone who can help.

Pete

Get the trade screen up, just as if you were to negotiate a new deal. Look for the text saying "Active" in the middle pane and click on it.

It will show a list of all active trades. Some of them have a number in paranthesis, thats the number of turn left of the 20-turn deal (The answer to your last question).

Those that don't have this number can be cancelled/renegotiated. Click on such a trade, and the trade will be renegotiated, and you can cancel it.

You can set it in the preference screen too.

"allways renegotiate after 20 turns"
something like that anyway

With active you can renegociate peace by removing the peace treaty button, and reestablish peace and get a few cities for a cheaper price.
