C++ runtime errors
C++ runtime errors....
These errors happens any time. A screen pops up with choices of retry, abort, ignore. Sometimes the retry will work, and the game continues. Other times it just crash ! Have to reboot before game will start again.
This has happened while trying to unload a settler from a galley, when trying to remove a unit from a stack,
PIII 800,Win XP, sp1, 32MB NVidia AGP(UT2003 driver), 256MB Ram, lotsa free space...

It could be a faulty install of Civ3. Try re-installing. If that doesn't help then...

Is this happening in one save-game or in every game you play? If its only in one certain savegame, then its probably a corrucpted save. Try starting a new game.

Could be a driver issue, and it could also be that a DLL on your machine is faulty. Try installing new drivers.

You could also try reinstalling DirectX and OpenGL.

I think this was a memory problem. 3 slots, 128Mb and one 32Mb. Took out the 32Mb, working like a charm...
