People or Things that Recieve too much Criticism
A lot of things and people are criticized much more than they should be, and it really bothers me. It has become kind of cliche to crticize them, and it is really annoying.

Here are some of them.

Poland's army - It is not Poland's fault that it is a flat indefensible piece of land situated between the two (historically) most aggressive European countries.

Britney Spears - It's really annoying that it's become "cool" for pre-teenage and teenage girls to criticize her. Just because her target audience is the 7-12 crowd doesn't mean that girls who want to act all grown-up should criticize her. (Especially the ones that listen to "Avril." At least Britney isn't a trend-hopper.)

Modern Art - Yea, some stuff is unreasonable, but it annoys me when some people say "I can do that" when they see a work of art like this one (by Jackson Pollock)

Yea, sure you can. If you made one like it, and then someone went around asking people which one was better, everyone would say the Pollock one was much better. It is simply much more cool-looking than one that a non-artist could make.

I'll think of more later.

Modern art might be better than what I could make, but I sure wouldn't hang a canvas that looked like paint spilled all over it on my wall.

Britney Spears receives TOO MUCH criticism?!

Are you mad?

If I said one nasty thing about that no-talent skank every minute for the rest of my natural life, that would not even begin to approach "too much" criticism.

Mayhaps she'll be wiped from the earth by bubonic plague or some other deliciously vile disease.

It amuses me that when a piece of modern art like Pollock's gets sold for millions of dollars people always say "That's such a load of crap, I mean ... I COULD DO THAT!"

Well - why the hell don't they? If I could produce art that would sell for millions of dollars then I'd stop *****ing and get painting.

People who receive too much criticism = Anybody who was cool for no reason 2 years ago and is now not cool for no reason.

I hate to say it but it has become very passe to be anti-Bush. I dislike many of his policies but many of the lefties have been displaying an irrational hatred that borders upon the type the rightest had for Clinton.

Can't they both just take a chill pill?

No, no. Plagues spread. And infect people. And that sort of thing.
Bush is something else. But a disaster nevertheless.

I have a lot of respect for Britney because she puts up with the pseudo-punk people who badmouth her all the time. She's above that. She's not necessarily that talented for a singer (although my annoyance with the "I can do that" people still applies) but she does have the inegrity that the "anti-britneys" don't.

Odin and Oerdin in an argument is funny.

She's talentless trash. She's not above it at all, her and Pink *****fight all the time. Britney even refused to stay in the same hotel as her.

She doesn't have any integrity, as evidenced by her brutally attempted transition away from "innocent girl" to "20s girl".

I don't understand - you have respect for Britney because she 'puts up' with badmouthing. What would not putting up with it involve, exactly? Issuing a statement saying 'Those pseudo-punks have got me on that one - I really am sh!t'?

Any f*cker could put up with bad mouthing by skate-punks for what she earns - hell, I'd do it for a tenner...

And call me old-fashioned, but I kind of like my singers to sing well...

Seneca, you're old fashioned.

I think the US receives too much criticism.

Modern Art is junk, and can never receive TOO much criticism.

Agree with Asher, Microsoft receives too much criticism.

You've seen that Simpson's episode?

Anyway, the reason someone like Pollock is famous is because he did it first. 'Anyone' can do paintings like Pollock, I don't doubt they can't, but they are imitating not innovating. Its like Elvis impersonators - I have heard some who are simply amazing yet don't earn the big money - because ask them to compose their own songs or sing their own style and they can't.

Its one of the reasons I hate a lot of pop artists - there are a lot of good bands - who can write, sing and play, but get passed over for glorified impersonators/cover artists whose only skill is to dance and mime - look at half of Take That.

It was largely made up of horsemen. People don't fault the army for being bad at their jobs, but rather for being badly equipped for the times. This is a fair comment. ( Also they got so much damn land because they demanded it from Germany. You can't take it one minute and then blame its size as the reason you can't defend it. )

The reason many of the 'pre-teenage and teenage girls' are criticizing her because of what a hoity toity little ***** she is. She notoriously blows off her fans in favour of photo opportunities when attending events.

That is bullshit and you know it. Name me one person that calls the work of Jackson Pollock shite that knows anything about art. No one does because it clearly isn't. Jackson Pollock had true skill but is unfortunately lumped in the same category as people who enter beds, canvases entirely painted black and piles of elephant dung into competitions. They're hacks - it doesn't matter if someone is willing to give them an award for being 'groundbreaking' or 'controversial' they are still talentless hacks who have no real skill when it comes to art.

Yeah I saw that Simpson's episode. Notice that Homer put his money where his mouth was and actually did try to "do it himself". For a while he had fame and his art was valuable. If anything that proves my point... although of course it is only a cartoon.

Which "people?" I bet you, if you compare two pieces of work by different artists in front of those who has no knowledge of Pollock, most will not find his work artistic or even attractive.

It's just this herd mentality. It's just marketing that hype this godawful crap totally out of proportion.

That painting by Jackson Pollock symbollizes humanity's struggle against Jack Daniels.

The colors reflect the phases of the moon and the black background reminds us of how void our lives are of meaning.

(It's crap!)

It looks like birdsh*t I like modern art done well, I like Dali for example...but dirty beds, no, I don't think so...

I am very critical, and I think that anything should be open to scrutiny. It separates the wheat from the chaff. Criticise away!
