Science Ministry Report
I know this is a bit late, but the poll kind of speaks for itself...

Clearly, our next tech choices should be The Corporation and Metallurgy. After that, the ppl prefer Electricity and Theory of Gravity.

There is also substantial support for Conscription (riflemen) and Combustion (needed for Automobile, on the path to Computers, which is needed for Space Flight).

Once the above are obtained, Automobile is a logical next step. And Electronics (Hoover) should become available after we get Electricity.

There is some controversy over whether we should be shooting for Newton's or Hoover's as our next WoW. The Ministry feels that we can easily obtain them both!

Official Tech Path Recommendation
The Corporation -- Metallurgy -- Electricity -- Theory of Gravity -- Combustion -- Conscription -- Automobile -- Electronics.

The important thing is to keep the trade wheels rolling so our tech rate remains the fastest on the planet. That will provide the needed for infrastructure and the arrows needed for science.

Thiss report also sent via PM to the Prez....

Faithfully (and somewhat belatedly) submitted,

-Jrabbit
Minister of Science

I was not present for voting in the poll.
I may agree with the most options.
... but Automobile : we have to keep Leo's effects as long as possible : after our land troops are riflemen, our caravans are freights, our monted unit are cavalry, and our diplos are espions !

The (simple) SciMin notes that our tech plans will be adjusted to grab Conscription -- and perhaps Tactics --
before we expire Leo's.

Score one for cavebear, who can spot a bad pun a mile away -- and get +1 for it.

First, it was a *good* pun; that one was too subtle for a "groaner". Second, it took me 2 looks to "catch it", because it had a natural jargon to at at first glance; TradeMin, SciMin, TruthMin (1984). LOL! I suspect that, if we ever met, we would have some real crackup conversations.

Doubtful. I think that Cavalry and Alpine Troops are enough to hold the fort. After all, we need to get to Space Flight, so we'll be able to build fighters and bombers if we need to get heavy.

It's really nice to see you over here, War4. Nice to participate in a game where you don't have to worry about your ISP kicking you offline, eh?

yes, JR...i scoffed when i heard about these games, now i see what i was missing. it truly is a thrill to work in a room, well many different rooms with my fellow apolyton brothers and see what running a real govt is like.

its not the same when you control all, but when you have Hawks and Doves, your bound to have differing opinions.... i like it

Next game will likely be an early conquest attempt. Last game we did well with the vet crucs-n-clads technique. maybe you'll be able to point us to a truly early win...

hehe, well i am sure i know nothing that everyone doesn't already know now..... but perhaps i have a trick or two up my sleeve....

the pattern for world conquest is much easier to manipulate......your land is pretty much irrelevant.

world peace is entirely different story of course
