Why does IE stops responding when in Civ3?
Whenever I start Civ3, IE stops responding, so I can no-more visit websites while playing
This is specially annoying, when playing PGEM games, where you have to do the turn ASAP, but to have to close all IE windows, just to play one single turn is pretty annoying...
Has anyone else noticed this?

Hmm, is there a penalty for stating the obvious?
I have a PBEM game going and leave outlook express running while I play PTW. When a new turn arrivies, I exit my SP game using 'start new game', save from mail and load the PBEM game, do the turn, save and exit, switch to mail and send , switch to PTW and load my SP game. Works fine for me.
Admittedly, I don't usually surf while waiting, so I don't have IE running. Too busy playing.

I would blame it on your system/OS. I am running XP on a 2 GHx machine with 640 megs of RAM, and I can use IE just fine while PtW is running.

I run WinXP too, and I have never had any problems before, but since I installed ptw, it doesn't work anymore...

I also can surf while playing the game. Occassionally, the game will exhaust all available ram, so it will take a second longer to load a page., but overall, its not bad. I usually have OE, 2 IE, winamp running while I'm playing the game, no problems.

You may want to re-install DirectX 8.1
Just a thought.

It's impossible to un-install directX, so it's also impossible to re-install directX...
