Tectonic Missiles?
Does anyone know if Tec Missiles are enivronmentally unfriendly? My Eco-Damage just spiked through the roof, the same turn I used a couple hundred of them.
Could be an offshoot of my 5 techs per turn, but I'm not sure.
grrrrr.
Selling off all my Robotic assembly lines and genejack factories.

going for a high score.

It was also the same turn an opponent tried to use a P Buster on me (orbital defence pod caught it), could that have caused it? I went from 300+ minerals, no eco damage, to 100+ minerals = eco damage, literally overnight, and am trying to track down the problem.
grrrr.

Your first call was the right one. There is a known bug (...or at least it is known...) that tec missiles cause ecodamage. Some have speculated that it is the same as a PB strike.

As a veteran in several ODP/PB wars I can say with some certainty that a successful intercept was not your problem.

...and congrats on the 300+ mins at zero eco damage. At transcend, before you run past the end of the tech tree I've never come even close to that. Are you sure you weren't building sats with after building the Space Elevator SP?

Oh, I'm sure about the mineral production.
5 planet.
400+ cities.
Manifold nexus, Gaians, everything fungus. No teriforming at all, other than raising land, drat global warming!
I'm trying for the highest possible population score, so trancend difficulty, huge map. It's about 2374, my AC score is about 27,000 right now. 3 or 4 techs, 40,000 energy per turn. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Mineral production on space improvements is over 700.
320 is about highest I can get right now without eco damage building non space improvements.
GRRRRRRR. Wish I had known about the tec missile bug. Now I'm scrapping all my genejack and robotic assembly lines to avoid eco disaster.

Oh, and it's not as bad as PB's. I know, I used 200 tecs in a turn, and could still have some minerals from land. Just messed me up badly.
