Can You top this story?
Happend to me yesterday. I think, if someone other would tell me, I wouldn't believe it:

It was early mid game, short after first discovery of Air Power, best weapen was 6 and best defense 3.

Approaching a alien seabase my probe skimship discoverd a 1-3p-1 infantry at the coast and bribed it of 28 energy (I think it was the bargain of my life!).

Popped a pod and found a Ogre Mark II! Few turns later, the Ogre popped another pod - and was cloned! Again, some turns later, the bribed infantry popped a third pod - earthquake, and the alien seabase suddenly became a land base. I think You can imagine where I went with my both Mark II Ogres (very evil grin).

I would like If You could tell of other such strange stories.

Greetings Skanderbeg

I was just wondering what level this game was? From my experience on higher levels the chance of good to bad pod is maybe 50/50. In the early game maybe higher percentages of good, but in late game higher percentages of bad.

Hi Stuntman!

I played transcendent level on a huge random map, and as I wrote, it was in early mid game.

I don't know if the luck with popping pods is affected
by the level or the state of the game.
But it seems to me, that at the times You get the mindworm warning about Hercules in the perihelium,
the change to pick up mindworms will inscrease very much, so it is better to wait with popping until Hercules is out of the perihelium.

Greetings Skanderbeg

Your observations on increased native cycles and pod popping seems valid, and was something I hadn't really correlated together. The Ogre cloning and the string of good pod popping was definitely something I've never achieved.
