HoI: Error on installing the patch!
I have trouble installing the patch. I get the following message
"An I/O error occurred while installing a file. This is normally caused by bad installation media or corrupt installation file."
The game installed succesfully and it runs. I tried to repair the installation, with no effect and I tried to reinstall at a different partition and nothing happened!
Can somebody help?

It sounds more as though the patch might have been corrupted in the dl. This has a nasty tendency to happen to executables in particular.
First thing to try is probably just dling the patch again...

I dnloaded the patch twice from paradoxplaza.com.  I still get the same message.

Did you download the right file?  If you download for example the NA patch to a Scandinavian or European version of the game, you most problaby will get problems.

Have you made any changes to the files i.e. installing Bolted AI or any other user created mod? You may have to uninstall then load the patch over a clean install of the game. You'll get far more assistance if you ask on the Paradox forums of course

Nope, I haven't changed anything I installed the game and then I installed the patch. I bought the game in the States a couple weeks ago, so I am sure that it is the US version.
