I agree, gaming for fun is healthy.........gaming to get away from reality might be disturbing.

Gaming is my reality. I shut down my computer to get away from real life.

From War4Ever:
i spent the better part of 58 hours straight playing civ2 a few years back, only breaks were to pee/make food, all of which was in the mircrowave and done between turns, it was more than one game though.....

needless to say, i was so wiped out that i collapsed on my bed...didnt' play well at the end either, had too many other handicaps going on

Indeed....after peeing in the microwave, and then nuking food, I'm not surprised you collapsed....

I once had a 22 hour stint playing Master Of Orion, and I didn't eat at all during that run. I would also put off going to the bathroom until I absolutely had to. at the end (finishing the game), I was so tired that I couldn't bring myself to get any food before collapsing.

I think not eating is more likely to harm you than playing long stretches of computer games.

Another one bites the dust? Well, it's probably those treacherous burritos they use for gameplay snacks... No worry 'bout me, I just take the ordinary pizza&cocaine. - Still goin' strong.

Please note Apolyton does not condone the potentially harmful eating of Pizza whilst you are gaming.

That's just silly (not the death part) but the assertion that video games are physically deadly.

Anyone think this could be because of epilepsy (sp?)? Flashy lights and all that?

I think it would have been obvious to the medical personnel concerned if it was an epileptic shock.
