Questions:

CAPITOL - Did you notice that removing the worker from the tundra causes a food shortage?

Issus - Moving the worker on the grass to the Silk delays the production of a second worker by 4 turns (to 6 turns total). After 6 turns, the single worker will produce 6-12-24. But the 2 workers will produce 19-12-24. The food gain is almost halfway to a 3rd worker.

Cavebear City - Let's move that grassland worker to the improved plain and get the Marketplace completed 25% faster.

Naples - We should at least move the worker on the forest to the Pheasant. We gain 2 food and a shield.

Yeah, I noticed the food shortage.

Capitol won't be growing until that tundra is upgraded anyways. Might as well get some science in the meantime.

Issus:

Depends on when we need the production. Now or later? If later, we should increase food production, if now, we should work the silk.

Plus, what about the trade shortage?

Cavebear City:
Or just rush the marketplace. Works just as well.

I seem to remember that 'Soldier Field' and 'Memorial Stadium' are more likely? Why not suggest conditions that might facilitate naming it. Perhaps we have a city that was founded initially near several swamps (fens) that could be designated as a park area? (Hense Fenway Park)

Capitol might grow once from food stocks by the end of the game.

Instead of no growth, I say we starve the people, and get some extra science.

BTW-
CONGRATULATIONS EMPEROR HTOWER!

don't give me that, there has been no other time in the history of the civ2 demogame that the common citizen has been better informed about the position of our cities. or did you miss the screen shot thread that showed our entire nation as one large conglomeration of pictures, all put together to form one.

and veteran's stadium would get first pick from me after tonight.

That's why I merely asked. I considered that a deliberate drawdown of the food supply was legitimate; it will be a long time before that reduction has any consequence. I just wanted to be sure it *was* deliberate.

Issus's trade contribution to the country is very minor right now. Leaving the worker where it is for only 3 turns (so the 2nd worker is available faster) will provide more benefits by the 6th turn.

Somehow it bothers me to spend a lot of gold (70) to complete a marketplace that will return only an additional 1 tax and 2 lux per turn. Why not just let it build the market in 9 turns?
