Aussie Group Re-Runs 4

The last thread got so full of it that we had to start a new one.

Deity tells me that he and trev will be around tonight and I can join them.

Horse? finbar?

I wish you would stop restarting the thread with these sh*t names.

My preference would be to continue the 4 way at the usual time.

We've been down this track before where deity pulls players out of the ether who show up for one session and then vanish.

The other alternative would be to start a 5 way with the newbie and save the 4 way for another night.

After last night's fiasco my patience is wearing thin.

Quite bizarre goings on last night. Horse and I discovered Deity has a new policy - he won't play Civ games with fewer than 4 players. The policy extends to 3-player games already started, which he now refuses to continue. The Americans' policy on invading Iraq is explicable - they want to secure the Iraqi oil supplies for their own use. Deity's policy, OTOH, is utterly inexplicable.

You can't expect deity to continue a game when he has new ones to start.

Hydey - I'm going to organise another Civ dinner. When can you and Mrs Hydey make it up this way? Presumably not before cricket finishes?

Yes, HUGE frustration last night. And that 3 way looked like a good game too..........

I dared not ask why.

Cricket season

last round = March 8th
semi-final week = March 15/16th
Grand final = March 22/23 & 29 (if we make it)

There will also be a cricket trip away weekend sometime after this but nothing is booked yet and a golfing weekend sometime in April or May.

And you guys wonder why I struggle to find time to play civ

Look for a weekend in April that suits you all and I will try and find out exact dates for my other (piss-ups) activities.

April. Okay. Just to give me a headstart, Hydey, list your absolute favourite: (a) starter; (b) main course; and (c) dessert.

OK
Trev is highly reliable - he's not a kid
He played with me and Hydey in the USA Sat nighter and is a fairly good and totally reliable player.

I didn't realise Hydey would be here tonight but I'd already started to organise this 5 way for Sat nights with:
Horse
finbar
deity
Trev
and Hydey as 5th civ when available (otherwise AI)

I'll play our 4 way regularly on Friday nights when Hydey is normally available.

Yes, perhaps I should have played the existing 3 way last night - sorry. DEITIANS are considering a more explicable shift in [policy - *watch this space*

BUT I'll only continue with these three games so let's get it happenning...

Civ players without attitude in real liofe relationships makes for boring games, War.

Because you got attitude but no one in your group appreciates it They are so boringly nice... LOL

Now, what was that finbar? Now that I'm on to dinner.

Prawn sumptin for starters

satay sumptin for mains

bread and butter pudding for enders...

Did I miss the point?

He's just changed his order and advised me by icq:

He wants fairy bread for starter (but please remove all orange sprinkles), chips and battered sav with Fountain tomato sauce for mains and Coco Pops for dessert.

Yeah sorry Hydey I was going to say Pluto Dog and Fairy Floss as you suggested but I didn't want to inconvenience the chef.

There might not be any carnivals around Cammeray.
