diminute points in PTW screen
Playing PTW in huge games, diferents, the screen became very slow, begining to appears diminute points all around, sometimes the screen go black and recovers by itself.
Happen in a Athlon thunderbird 900 Mhz, Xtasys GeforceTi 500, 512MB, 40G HD only 20% full or P4 1.5G Mhz, xtasys Geforce ti 500, 512MB 133mhz, 20 G HD 50% used. Audigy card both machines.
Once the PCs are off and reinitiated the problem disappears a while.
Somebody could known what happen?
Thankls very much Gladys Costa Rica

The number of civs you are using in the game will make a difference if they all survive the longer the game goes. Basically the game is a memory and processor hog...so make sure you don't run any other progs and have a large swap file allocated, but still this may not even help much. The major slowing down is do to all the calculating going on...especially when discovering new techs..founding cities...pillaging tiles..cities conquered...all events change revenue for civs...just alot of calculating going on.
