CIV3/PTW on 366 Celeron? URGENT
Hey guys I'm about 30 minutes away fro mpurchasing a laptop. it's a 366 celeron processor. Will this run CIV3? sys requirements say pentium 300mhz. I know it won't be very fast, just want ot make sure it will install. (just so I can get a civ fix away from home!)

please if anyone runs on minimal systems, please post.

I'm running on a 400 Celeron, and I can play the game with 256 x 256 maps and 8 civs. The turns get a bit long later in the game, but it's something I can live with. I wouldn't even think of playing with 16 civs on that map size though. Regular should be fine however.

I think it will be way too slow. Laptops are anyway slower than desktops... But of course, with a good book between turns...

You will need a faster computer if you want fast turns and high performance on big maps but otherwise you should be fine as long as you are not running many backgroud programs.

well, we shall see! I'll be using it for single player games, so I'll go with someones suggestion and just keep a 6-pack handy! lol

I only asked because I tried to install the game on an PII 266, and it refused to even try to install! And a Celereon 366 is only marginally better performance-wise. Hopefully the installer just looks at mhz, not actualy processor! lol
