SCG, and I certainly hope he's a good Trade minister. Should I defeat the Banana for president, I'm going to need a good one.

My hoped-for science strategy involves a large number of Freight, among other things. Where does the esteemed candidate SCG stand on this issue?

ah, a very good question, sir, let me elaborate.

A wise man once said, When you don't know what else to build, build a freight. And when you have enough, build some more. There is great truth in this statement. Not only can freights provide a wonderous boost to our treasury, the cultural exchange of ideas resulting from that trade can provide inspiration and insight for our scientists as well. Without freights, our great civilization would be no where near where it is today! We must continue to look for ways to incorportate freights into our strategy as we reach for the stars!

Again, without a savegame, it's hard to comment on how the game has gone thus far.

My concern is not that we build freights when we don't know what else to build. Frankly, by this stage of the game we probably shouldn't be building much of any infrastructure - only freights and military. What infrastructure we absolutely do need should be rush built, with money from our ongoing trade.

I haven't had much chance to study the dissertation that Samson has published on trade, but i do hope to try and incorporate his ideas into suggestions for specific caravan/freight builds.

Without access to the classified documents (the saved game), I also can't comment on the overall state of our infrastructure or ability to trade right now. It has been said by the outgoing city planner that we are rather lean on infrastructure, so it could take a few turns to get it started. It has also been said by our outgoing president that we do have a transport strategy in place, so it maybe not that far off.

Well, I'm convinced. Plus, the other candidate is doing nothing except slowly turning black...

*STYOM goes off and votes*

Yes, while impressive, I'm not convined that "rotting" is the kind of administrative skill we seek.
