in CIV III when the patches came , each time something firaxis included was overseen , and something was overseen by Firaxis , ......

Save a PBEM game on your turn. Re-load it. All production will be bumped down 1 turn. Repeat ad infinitum. Send the game on when you have enough units.

That IS a pretty bad bug! No doubt some people will use this exploit, but I wouldn't expect many since it's usually people who've know each other for a while who play by email. All the same I hope it was/is addressed by Firaxis.

It certainly is a serious bug, but somebody would have to be pretty stupid if their opponent built 50 units on turn one and they never noticed.

When do we get the #%&@¤# expansion here!?!?!?

The release has been postponed yet again, this time to the 27th of Feb. There should be no problems, it is not a localized version. I think that the original civ3 sold here was the british version.

So, what's still taking???

How do you know that the US-version is the best? Have you tried others? Or do you just base your opinion on the cover art?

Naah... I like being a martyr. I wait 'till I can get the damn game from the store near me. . . which can take a long time

I got it from a couple of finnish gaming/pc sites. Why do you ask? Do you want to buy it from Finland ?

PBEM and have hotseat have a couple of outstanding issues, certainly - you have to be careful about how you load games for example - but they certainly 'work'.

I assume you've already patched to v1.14 Tzar Alexander?

Yes all of us Updated ... we (8) played a PBEMAIL Game and only after 4 turns suddenly the cities of two of my friends didn't produce anymore. Also was it somehow possible to load/unload/load and so on and suddenly you have been able to play the turn of one of the other players ? (One of my damn friends find out, and maybe he destroyed the game with it ..)
Same Problem with Hotseat and LAN Game crashes every 1-2 Hours ... so we never tried Internet game, also because of cheating ...

SO WE ARE WAITING AND WAITING ALL FOR THE PATCH ...

Hey yes FIRAXIS 8 people WHO HAVE BOUGHT your $§$%$§ ADDON are still waiting and if we didn't get that patch you could be sure we will never buy anymore a game from your company, but still will play them .. you got the message !!!

Can't help you there, I'm afraid. I've never heard of that happening before.

If possible it would be wise to make a report of the bug (as detailed as you can make it - try not to rant) and report it to Firaxis.

They don't know every single bug in the game (if they did - they would fix them) and it might be that nobody else has reported this yet.

As far as I know that isn't possible, but there are several other well-documented bugs to do with loading and unloading - like accidently turning on game options like Accelerated Production, or getting infinite amounts of production in one turn.
PBEM games have also been known to drop in difficulty for no apparent reason. I don't think anyone here knows exactly why that happens yet.

Yeah, there are too many bugs, but I've had fun playing PBEM games for more than 3 months now. I'm sorry to hear you're having so many problems.

Obviously, but you can easily sneak a few in, which is quite enough to turn the tide in many cases.

Believe it or not, some people actually like to play games in their own language.

then you show your "support" to infogrames by getting it through "other means" until the local version comes out!
