Spiders kill flies and I hate flies. Spiders == good.

Any big spiders in my room are trapped with the good ol' glass and piece of paper method and put on the ledge outside the window. Gotta say that if I saw a spider that big in my house, I'd prolly kill it though

They kill flies, and anything that kills flies is a friend of mine

I used to do this. One morning I had a wolf spider on my kitchen window, so I got a glass and piece of paper. When I was about 3 feet away from him, I was walking up behind him,he suddenly flipped around and watched my approach.

To hell with that. Newspaper works wonders.

ACK!

wow... a subject i can actually comment on. i like tarantulas... they're cute, in their own way... below is haplopelma lividium she is from south east asia, is a bit tempramental, and likes the high humidity...

this is a relative of
theraposa leblondi or, the goliath birdeater. i cared for one named "cuddles" once. she ate adult mice, and left just the fur and teeth...

i plan to acquire several in the near future... they're just so interesting...

I like looking at them, but don't really like them walking on me. I remember these little wolfie jumping spiders about the size of a pinhead. They looked just like tarantulas but were really cute. I'd put one on my finger tip and hold my finger about 6 inches from my nose and he'd jump onto my nose. One bit me once but I barely felt the pinch. We have black widows and violin spiders around here, ugh.

Growing up in California my friends and I used to catch tarantulas and keep them as pets. They're actually very fragil and their legs fall off easily. It sure is interesting to watch them ponce on a cricket once you've kept them in a cage for a couple of days. Tarantulas can really jump when they're hungry enough.

I had the same problem with my daddy long leg collection. They each had about three legs. I didn't collect them in a jar or anything, just on my back porch.

You certainly have permission to be a full-blown spiderphobe now.
