He's still working on it. Considering that he lifted the idea straight out of his fan mailing list, it probably won't be any better than Ringworld Throne, which was crap.

If you ignore the 25% that is interspecies sex, it's not half bad.

I thought those were the only good parts.

I voted for Red Mars 'coz it is on my to-read list. I'd like to see some fresh responses to Ringworld.

I'd heartily approve a nomination for Mote for May. Not like other Niven/Pournelle stuff, for those who didn't like Footfall, etc.

Just to let you know, and to remind others, the monthly thread schedule works like this:

1st: Topic thread (In March, it will be about Foundation, in April, whatever is voted on here). The link takes you to the current book, The Handmaid's Tale.

5th: Nomination thread for the month after next. This thread is where I derived the above poll.

15th: Voting thread for the month after next. This poll will close on the final day of the month (I hope).

All threads start with the title "The Apolyton Science Fiction Book Club...", so you can do a quick search of the OT titles in case you think you missed one.

In short, you can nominate "Mote" from March 5th-15th. The reason why I do it this way is, frankly, it's easier for me. Imagine having to remember and keep track of every suggestion in all the threads!

Glad to see everybody here! 29 voters! That's over .001% of all registered users!
