FAM's Office: 1395 AD
Money - GOOD!

Turn 0 (1395 AD, beginning of turnchat)
- Sell Spices to Greece for 18 gpt (total: 360 gold, they can't afford to pay any more).
- Sell Steel to Babylon for 22 gpt and 36 gold (total: 476 gold, they can't afford to pay any more).
- Sell Motorized Transportation to India for 200 gpt and 91 gold (total: 4,091, they can't afford to pay any more).

Turn 3
- Our Rubber for 26 gpt deal with England ends. Attempt to renew Rubber for gpt deal with England. Attempt to maximize profit, but don't settle for less than 500 gold total (if they can't afford it, then they can't afford to have Rubber. Mwhahahaha!!).

Turn 4
- Attempt to renew Dyes for Ivory deal with Greece. If they are willing to continue this deal, or even throw some gold in as well, take it of course. Otherwise, if they demand more, see if we can work out some deal where we give them a tech in exchange for money and ivory. However, if they won't be able to afford paying 500 gold (in gold, gpt or mixed) or more for our tech, pay them in gpt (Dyes + x gpt for their Ivory). I will most likely be able to participate in this turnchat, but I leave these orders just in case.

General Orders
- Check for tech deals every turn. Sell any tech (preferably the oldest and cheapest one, if we have a choice) to any civ if they are willing to pay 700 gold (in cash, gpt or mixed) or more.
- If something unexpected turns up and I am unable to participate in this turnchat, any or all of the above orders may be changed, should they become harmful or inappropriate. I recommend that the present cabinet be polled on any changes to my orders before they are made.

Any questions?

Thanks, Shiber. I'm posting this in the orders thread.
If you need to edit it, just post here or there...

No probs.
Btw, in case you've missed the note, I'll be able to participate in this turnchat.

* bump *
New administration, yet same FAM.
Nothing has changed in-game, though, so my orders for Aro's cancelled chat move on to Thud's first chat as president.
50 hours to the first turnchat of Term 9, and counting...

I'm trying to compile my orders, but the save I downloaded from the turnthread thread seems to be corrupted. Could someone please post the current save here?

Same here. I downloaded it twice, to be sure.

Edit: detopping, as you requested.
Btw, I'm really concerned about this ZpellZ thing...
I still with the mod powers (don't get me wrong MarkG, it's a privilege! ), but I have no right to this. So, I'm only topping or detopping threads when requested, or if it's a Senate Bill, or a turn thread.

Thanks Aro.
I guess I'll have to wait until someone posts a working save before I can compile my orders. Bummer, I was hoping of doing this at least 24 hours before the chat begins.

I tried downloading it a number of times and each time, I received an error saying that the file is corrupted. Do you want a screenshot?

Or perhaps you could do something constructive and post the save you are using, which you say works.

You are using the wrong save. The latest is 1410 AD, and it does not work, according to Aro and myself. Thanks for trying to help though.

P.S. Did you compile your latest orders according to the 1405 AD? If so, I suggest that you check if they need to be changed once the correct, working save is posted, since we'll be starting from 1410 AD, as far as I understand.
P.P.S. Firewalls don't corrupt information. They either allow the packets to pass through or deny it, but they don't actually touch the data segment of the packet. IDSs do check and sometimes alter the data segment, but hardly anyone has an IDS installed on his PC, and those that do know how to use and configure them properly.

Incorrect. You can find the summary of what was done in 1410 AD here, along with the save.

Zip? What Zip are you talking about?
Thud posted the last turnthread save in a .sav file, as far as I've seen, and IIRC, no president has ever zipped the SAVs that he posted.
Perhaps either one of us is using the wrong save. Could you post in here the save that you have used to write your 1410 AD orders?

This is not a zip archive, Panag. It's a .sav file.
When I try to open it with Winzip (yes, I'm using 8.1, and so is everyone else. This version is several years old), I get this error, which makes it absolutely clear that this is not a zip archive.
