Request for a new function...
I think it would be helpful to add an option in the right-click menu for units. A "Defense Strength" item. It would show what number would be used as a defense factor for that stack on the given terrain. For example, what exactly is the defense for a spearmen on a hill, in a size 4 city, fortified...
I wonder what order they accumulate stats, and how they do the rounding off but that might be asking too much. And I sure don't have the patience to figure it out by experimenting.

In SMAC this was possible...but like many things in that wonderful game, it was taken out.

Another wonderful SMAC convenience was the ability to rush work on the city list on a right click. That would be nice to have in Civ III, too.
