How so? The Israelis and the US were afraid of agreeing to a text which asserted, when applied to the occupied territories, that Israel had the obligation to grant their population self-determination and freedom from perpetual military occupation.

Well, I'm sure nobody has a problem with that - not Russia, or China, or any country with indigenous populations, or in the Balkans. Let alone all those countries in Latinamerica, and Africa with ethnic or tribal populations. Why, nosirree, everybody believes in self-determination for everyone. It's just that some populations, by their very attitude, determine that they need to be oppressed, or even exterminated. But it's their fault.

No, but the other countries which plan on breaking the treaty had the decency to sign on and then ignore it.

Yes. A sarcastic, light-hearted comment deserves a rolleyes.

I can't wait for No. 16 to be added:

Which evil hyperpower attempted to conquer the world before being stopped by an alliance of freedom-loving nations led by the Enlightened European Establishment Pact (EEEP)?

Sigh...

"resolution" then. I don't really see what the point of becoming anal about that comment is. Laugh or not, and move on with your life.

I thought it was funny, but this crowd is tough...

Better provisions are being worked out in a current round of negotiations. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good troll.
The real reason is that several US states wanted to keep their right to get people on death row for murders they commited as minors.
