Help--Glitchy movies

Hi
Whenever a movie plays in Alpha Centauri or Alien Crossfire, the top half of the movie looks ok but the bottom half is a glitchy green mess. I tried the DirectDraw=0 fix, but that didn't work, and neither did changing my resolution or color depth. I installed the XP/2000 patch and that doesn't help either. The game runs fine except for this one problem, though for some reason the movies look fine when I just watch them in their folder--they just don't work in the game. I use a Pentium IV 2200 with 528 memory, and I'm sorry if this topic has been mentioned before on the board. Any suggestions?

I need to clarify the earlier message--The computer uses an AMD Athlon XP processor, not a Pentium IV, with a S3 Prosavage 8 graphics card under Windows XP home edition. All of the drivers are up to date.
