I had a knock-down, drag-out fight with Mrs finbar - who wrote up the menu in her computer - about whether to spell Civilisation our way, which is the real way, or the American way, with the "z". She argued that it should be spelled the way it's spelled on the box in which the game came. I accused her of bending to American cultural imperialism. American cultural imperialism won out!

She also left the accent off the first "e" in boulangère!

Our hearts were so touched by you having scanned the thing into your computer in the first place that we forgave your lapse of judgement.

I'll post 'em if everyone's happy to have 'em posted. Whether the civilised world is ready to have 'em inflicted on 'em is a different kettle of megapixels.

I'm extremely disappointed by the lack of play over the last few weeks. I really wonder if this group is viable any more. I don't want to invest time into a bunch of games that never get finished.

If you would all please jump onto your word processors and help me:

1. Rewrite Episode 11;
2. Write my second draft of Episode 12;
3. Rewrite Episode 13; and
4. Rewrite Episode 14

in the space of a week - all of which would normally take at least 3 weeks - I would be most appreciative.

Yes we all have to set priorities and meet deadlines but I'm more concerned about episode 5 of the deity, finbar, trev game and episode 7 of the deity, finbar, hydey game.

Its cruel to get games to an interesting point and then watch them wither away. I open the saves regularly to study the state of play but feel foolish doing so.

No matter, I'm going to buy Hearts of Iron and civ III and see what happens. I need some regular play.
