Boxing Simulator on-line strategy game
Hey all, since most civ players are big strategy game fans, I thought some of you might be interested in this on-line game. I started playing a couple of months ago and have found it to be quite addicting. It is kind of a cross between strategy and role-playing type of game.

To play, you create fighters using a set number of points to assign to different abilities (strength, height, speed, etc). You then create fight plans, which are basically simple programs using the given scripting languange. The computer will schedule you against other similarly ranked fighters. Then nightly, the scheduled fights are run thru their simulator. Basically it loads your stats and fight plan and your opponent's stats and fight plan then creates a report of the simulated boxing match. The more fights you win, the more ability points you earn and the higher rated your fighter becomes.

Click the link below and read the rules for more information or if let me know if you have any questions.

Here is the game

I think so. The only problem is that too many people sign up but don't read the rules well enough to know how to play. Because of that, your first 2 or 3 fights are almost always way too easy. Of course the other side of that is that it gives you a chance to learn the game and develop your fighter before seeing any real competition.

I've had two fights thus far...pretty neat, from what I've seen. Buddy 'Bender' Pederson, in the lightweight amateurs. He hasn't got enough toughness, though...

Looks pretty mediocre way to spend your time, when bored...
