interesting problem

well i dug up my old copy of Civ II in anticipation of this only to find out i have the original version, no MGE no FW.

So i went online and downloaded the 1.3 patch to MGE patched my game but kept a copy of the original EXE, then replaced the patched EXE.

now i have the option of playing multiplayer but it wont load up when i click on it, rather every option after multiplayer is shifted down...

my question is, will it still work?

are you talking about the patch by cedric greene that changes civ2 vanilla to MGE? a straight upgrade patch for mge won't change vanilla to mge. I would uninstall civ2 and try reinstalling everything, then use cedric's patch
