Team games
Since the ladder has died I want to start team games on here. Here are the rules:

1. No more than 3 players to a team, minimum of 2 players to a team.

2. More than 1 game can be started at a time.

3. Any settings may be used. (Yes that includes deity)

4. Must be a 2v2 or 3v3.
I'll start us off.

Divine Tribe- Kaak, EyesOfNight, DrFell

Sounds like a good idea...

But why limit a team to only 3 players?

There's been 1 game played on the ladder in the past week atawa so why don't you sit back and shut the **** up.

Only 3 to a team because you can only play max 3v3 anyways and it leaves it more open to more teams. More teams the better. More teams more games. If you haven't noticed there aren't very many people left.

Yeah... but by limiting it to only three people, it makes it harder to schedule a game... It's more likely a team can get 2 or 3 players together at the same time if the team is larger.

But you are right... there aren't many people left.

However, I find it funny that the Civ II MP Civgroup only has 30 or so less people than the Civ III MP Civgroup

Civ3MP only has 30 more listed players then Civ2MP!?

While grouplisting don't measure the total popularity of a game they do show in which direction it is going. I knew MP in Civ3 wasn't exactly a smash hit. Just 30 more, if you've only got to show that much for a high publicity game after nearly half a year while a 8(4) year old game (the Civ2 gameconcept is over 8 years old, Civ2MP 4 years) manages a close second. The future for Civ3MP looks ...well...rather bleak.

One game you say?

The ladder is verry much alive, but with most people playing MP games, many are saved and played over several sessions.

Lets go back aways to the last game that divine played.
1) Kaak hosted, made settings so that host has unfair advantage (and he was my partner)
2) Eyes got knocked out of the game because he could not adapt to being on a small barren cont
3) Markus builds lighthouse riddiculasly early, but miss uses it and he and eyes lost baddly
4) StrategicKing, frustrated because I had no say in settings and got screwed accordingly, and also played great up to point, I quit
5) Zylka took over and mopped up a pathitic Eyes civ.
Just another fun game with eyes...
Oh yeah, the ***** you (guess from whom) was spewing over my chat screen that further made me not want to participate in this game...
Of course, its not all bad, I took over for bravelaker in a team game and launched a 150 unit invasion while in democracy against a civ 3 times my size at the onset of my entering the game...
But, another bad one...3 team game with me , brave and barb verse slowwhand and his bunch and it was such a blowout on our part that they refused return to the game...
Of course it can also be ruined by goofey reasons, played a simultanious game with atawa and me verse Martin and mcmicha. Greatest game I have ever played but the host used the lag advantage and it ruined the game and no soloution could be found..
Mostly, they end badlly or real quick because one side cant get in contact....

Of course I like team games for the trading and quickness through the tech tree, but not on a random board..thats a waste of time..
On an all 1 cont board, again, waste of time..
I am sure Atawa would not mined being my partner verse any other team except the one listed above, it would just be a bad game and a bad expierence..
Anybody ever really enjoy playing him, or is it just me?
(he causes more problems then he is worth, just like Saddam)
