What's the best planet class you've found?
I found a (no lie) class 26 planet. Anyone found anything close or better?

Someone reported a 46, but I have not played enough to see anything special so far.

I haven't seen any intrinsically over 26, but you can pick a 5,10 or 15% bonus to planet quality as a starting trait, and if the planet has a precursor terraforming device you can get an 8 point upgrade by performing the evil act of feeding people into it to power it, and I believe one very rare type of anomaly upgrades all nearby planets by 14 points. So you could actually have one that was 55 theoretically if you were exceptionally lucky.

On an uninhabited planet, I've seen 24, but that was after an event that raised its quality.

You can build planetary social projects that improve the quality of your planets. My homeworld started out as an 18, IIRC, and is now up to 24, I think.

Class 25, which is now my Economic Capital. With the trade routes all going here, I'm making more money than God himself.

I have yet to see anything above 22 yet, but I have only been playing tiny maps so far. I hope to start a larger game this weekend.

The 26 I found was uninhabited. I found it at the next system over from my starting system. I had an event the other day that popped one of the Torian stars to a 43.

I think this planet started out as a 29, and got one of those 'kill the wormy structures' choices, and after some judicial soil and hab projects, it resides at a comfortable 40.

I have never seen a planet start out higher than class 26. These planets are real nice to get your hands on, since they can grow to become true diamonds. In the earlier beta versions class 26 planets seemed to be a tad more common than in the release version...but I could be wrong.

It seem like there is only one planet class 26 in each galaxy even in the large map. It is possible to get another from the random event which increases planet quality or even a higher one.

I've yet to get the random event that boosts a planet to a class 35 paradise, but I've seen the AI get it twice in the same game before. Bastards.

That is possible. A planet of class 25 + 40% planet quality should give you planet of class 35. So far it happen only in planet class under 20 for me.

Best planet I ever had was class 80, but that was during the beta. Since then the best I've found naturally was a 26.

I had a class 47 once. It was a 35 that became a 42. With Soil and Hab it became a 47.

Now, on the other hand, has anyone seen a class one planet yet? I love the little enviromental view for that level of rock, it looks about as close to a hellscape as a planet could get.

Size 1? Sure, I see it all the time.
It reminds me of the view outside of my girlfriend's mother's window....

You can see anything between 1 to 26. A rather dull looking one, and useless as well. You won't find it in a green or yellow system.

I finally found a 26 and colonized it. w/+15% PQ it started out as a 29. Only way one could get higher, excluding the "PQ to 35" rendom event, is to get an option when you settle this planet to boost planet quality when choosing the evil option. Has anyone got the chance to do this with a 26?

Yep, I did just yesterday in fact. 40 percent quality bonus for feeding people into the machine, baby. Add that in with my planet quality 15 percent bonus (I'm strongly beginning to suspect that this may be the best starting bonus- you can settle 13s and 14s and turn them into profitable worlds (although 13s require soil enrichment first), which opens up stars the computer won't even chase) and you get one monster-sized planet.
::insert chipper-grinder noise here::
One more for the Terran Federation!
