Vox Daily War Report

From the Voxian Ministry of Information.

Vox Controli advises that we will be reporting daily on the events and course of the war in South Estonia.

Vox troops are advancing along the planned routes. Everything is on schedule.

There is however, one disturbing event to report on. A GS observer warrior who was cornered by two Immortals (Harry and his trusty sidekick Mo) committed suicide rather than attempting to fight. This would at first glance appear to be consistent with the earlier report that Grog fought like a girl.

However, on closer examination, Vox security forces found a book lying next to the body. It was titled "Luxian Mythology - How to meet Trip in the After-Life".

We, Lego, are concerned because of the possible civilian casualties of this war and therefor ask to be permitted to land a neutral observer on Estonia

It seems the Despot 'The One' has pop rushed out this update as it does everything else. Voxian reporters have been whipped into footgear for the troops, and now there are few left to report on the century long journey the Immortals take to their doom.

GS hopes to free the slaves Vox calls citizens. Our only fear is there will only be corpses to free by the time we can reach their cities.

The uniform of the Immortal is stained with innocent blood. Soon to be mixed with their own.

The Storm's resident poet pens his lament to the mighty Grog, who shall be avenged:

This is adapted from Tolkien's "Lament for Mithrandir", although I've changed it rather a lot.

I'd like to add my own tribute:

On empty mountain, all alone, our valiant warrior stood,
So far from home, so far from friends, was doing all he could.
Watching, ever watching, for a danger to his land
With none for many miles around to lend a helping hand.

The centuries went by and by, him bravely at his post,
Never wavering from the place where he was needed most.
He knew the risks, but still he stood, faithful to the last,
E’en though the era of his kind of fighter long had past.

Until one day the evil, vile betrayers struck him down,
They killed our bravest warrior, our great hero of renown.
Their blood is now upon their hands, and we declare, “A Pox!

Grog may be gone, but not forgotten, not in a million years,

Ok, we can all agree that GS can use "flowery" words, but they have not responded as to why their second warrior lookout/scout commited suicide instead of fighting.

So far the casualties for GS/Vox are:

GS: 2 (Warriors): 1 death by battle, 1 death by fright.

Vox: 1 (Immortal): 1 death by battle

EDIT: Updated current casualties.

Our strategy of depriving Moe the Morbid of the combat experience he would need to stand up against our war chariots worked perfectly.

Ohh wait... they're still in Despotism, so most of the added production and commerce will be put to waste by the "standard tile penalty".

Grog's eulogy from Vox:

Yes, Grog was there, tending his sheep,
