I think the Dixie Chicks got a bad rap
I kind of feel sorry for them. Well not really, they are millionaires after all .

But Bill O'Relly said something about that dumbass senator from Pennsylvania that I think applies to the Dixie chicks. He said that senator shouldn't be punished for expressing his religious beliefs. Well I think the same applies to the Dixie chicks. They shouldn't be punished for expressing their beliefs- no matter how wrong or stupid they were.

But anyways I don't support a boycott of them. In fact I liked them better after they said what they said. Even though I think they are stupid and wrong. And posing nude always helps improve my attitudes towards women .

Although one might say it would be better to increase the boycott. Maybe they will pose nude in playboy if we push the boycott hard enough . It may be worth a try.

Also I'm worried about all the death threats. What a sick country we live in. I have heard some people try to organize possies to travel to Europe to "get" them. whatever that means. There have been death threats to them and their family. What will happen when they open their U.S. tour in South Carolina?

Anyways this picture is on a major U.S. magazine, so I hope it is accpetable here. But if not just delete it.

IMAGE EDITED BY MING... While I know it ran on the cover of a magazine, it still violates the rules of this site... Hands over naked breasts.. sigh...

They also had an interview on Primetime Thursday. I was working and did not see it. Here's a related article

yes, posing nude helped their cause in my book.

I am easily swayed. Good thing I'm not a judge.

Well yes, they are hot, and they sing good (well, to me... country fan here). It's a good mix .

This is nothing. Chinese actress Zhao Wei (very famous there) once worn a dress with Japanese imperial flag on it during a PR tour, and she was humiliated by the Chinese public for several months. Despite many apologies, she was spilled with sh1t by an enraged Chinese "patriot" during a charity event.

Dixie Chicks should feel lucky that Americans are indeed more tolerant.

Diss, I was flipping between E.R. and the interview w/ Diane Sawyer. They had a few "technical difficulties" with the airing, so I started a thread...

Lord Merciless, I'm not sure but I think the Dixies had death threats leveled against them. More tolerant, indeed.

Every loser can send out death threats. But publicly spilling some people with urine and sh1t is very very nasty.

At least they didn't get **** tossed at them .

A boycott for a month or so is no biggie. It'll be one of those fun stories people tell, like when John Lennon compared himself to Jesus .

She is actually doing well these days. She gained quite some sympathy after that "sh1t-spilling" incident.

I think the same affect can happen to Dixie Chicks if those "patriotic" morans step over the line.

Why is everyone spelling it "mor A ns" instead of "mor O ns"?

Or is that the joke I'm seeing in it?

(That one doofus with the misspelled sign... )

On Topic: Boycotting the Dixie Chicks is pretty stupid.

I remember once "patriotic" person chiming in saying "We should strap them to a bomb and drop them on iraq". Averege southern intelligence for ya.

They have the right to say what what they did and the public has the right to not buy their music as a result. Its time for celebrities to understand that while they are free to have an opinion and to voice it, the public can do the same by boycotting their goods.

Power to the people!

I strongly support the right of attractive young women to pose in public without their clothes on.

The older I get, the more important this right becomes.

That's fine and good. But when you get into the area of death threats and such, that doesn't speak much for how our society reacts to an opinion they dont agree with.

A "consequence" of speaking your mind shouldn't entail living in constant fear. I think it's sad these self-proclaimed patriots have to resort to juvenile and/or criminal tactics.

I agree, but I've also recently seen Tim Robbins whining about how unfair it is for the public to boycott actors who've made similar statements. Personally, I dont understand why anyone would care what celebrities think about any issues. Time for Timmy and the rest to grow up. A lack of responsibilty for what you say and do is endemic in this country.

They were paid for their music.
Nobody came to the concert to listen to their "insight".
I'm ashamed they're from Texas.
