Sorry to disappoint you but I'm afraid its probably going to be a bit of an anti-climax

Basically its already over, even if the corpse is still warm and twitching.

That's usually the case. At least when somebody gets pissed in one of our games, it's over quickly... and everybody is ready for a new game. Playing one nighters makes a big difference than your guys continuation games...

Nah... haven't tried it yet. Since Rah was made mod of the RoN forums... he's going to get it and give it a try. If he likes it, then I will go out and buy it. Usually, for some STRANGE reason, when he likes a game, I normally do as well

I think its excellent so far - you'll notice Brian picked up a lot of suggestions we made for civ 3.

As long as he picked up the right suggestions...

One of the problems with Civ III is that they listened to how we abused Civ II, and made sure we wouldn't be able to do the same with Civ III... and sucked most of the fun out of the game... sigh...

Check out RoN - makes me wonder why Brian left Firaxis - he's implemented tons of stuff we asked for.

I'm very appreciative of the help I get from players when things go wrong. A little patience and cooperation and good humour goes a long way. Things like spamming the host on icq during set up is a major peeve, as is second guessing the host on settings or players or rules. You wanna coordinate things? fine, you host it.

I can't stand players who snipe and b*tch at the host during set up, or query everything that happens in the game or worst of all start rabble rousing in the middle of the game. Its probably my biggest ettiquette beef. Ruins the game for everyone.

Most combinations of players I've hosted never have a problem. Difficulties always arise but they get settled quickly in a friendly cooperative way. Add one self important I'm-always-right arsehole to the mix and, well, the less said the better.
Yeah, couldn't agree more. Most of the games I play with this guy end up with problems.

But, thank goodness there are all the other games I play with mature players from three continents that run without a hitch...

I was going to give the Ron Demo a try this weekend. I'll let you know.

And there are never any winners when clans squabble, just whinners.

Yes, a nice measured chat from my side.

But Horse is constantly abusing me; using ugly expletives and basically blaming me for everything from Adam & Eve to Armageddon

See Ming? I told you it would be an anti-climax

Maybe I should post this icq log because deity just couldn't give me a simple answer to a simple question.

So, for calling me a cheat and a liar by insisting I post the icq log after I told him finbar and I never looked at his map; and for continuing to claim I called him a cheat without a shred of evidence after I told him repeatedly I never did and clearly posted same, deity joins Eyes of Night on my list of players I won't play.

*deletes deity from icq list, adds deity to Apolyton and icq ignore list*

I feel better already
