Attack on Commaders keep!

Last evening Commanders Keep went into chaos as two mindworm boils appeared from the nearby fungusfield and attacked the city.
The two synth.garrisons had a short warning, as a rain of spores coming rained down on the city. The spores caused the death of over 700 civilians and the citys medic-stations were crowded of atleast twice the same number. However, it didn´t cause much damage to the citys defenders.
After this brutal attack, two mindworm boils rushed the citys defences. The first one was eliminated easily, but the second boil got into the city, causing heavy damage both to the defenders and the civilian population. It damaged heavily the recycling tanks and devoured a whole synth.garrison before it was eliminated. The mindworms killed over 1000 civilians.

Actions against the mindworms

Another mindworm boil tried to attack Sparta Command, but the quick actions of the 5th Laser Rovers probably saved the lives of hundreds of civilians.
Colonel Santiago ordered the massive destruction of all native lifeforms, especially xenofungus and mindworms. All former units are to be sent to clear all native lifeforms in the vicinity of the bases, with the 2nd, 4th and 5th Laser Rovers working as escorts.
The 1st synth.Rovers will be patrolling around War Outpost for more possible attacks.

The Junta and the people are furious about the failed attack on U.N. Headquarters.

After the information about the failure of the taskforce arrived in Sparta Command, the whole city went out of control.Thousands of people went out to the streets to protest.

”My brother died out there. How can Colonel Santiago let our mighty army to be beaten by a smaller force of some weak peacekeepers?!”.Later on the riot police came and cleared the streets out of protesters.Hundreds were arrested and atleast ten people are dead.

The Junta was also furious and a emergency meeting was called. After the meeting, the angry Generals went out without commenting a word.

*Dream to Planetmind from Colonel Santiago*

Are you this entity that has caused me so much trouble… your attack on Commanders Keep…on the civilians there…revenge…you seem good friends with the peacekeepers…
there are peacekeeper civilians in War Outpost…they will suffer…every time you attack my people…don´t try to help them…I´ve ordered my forces to kill them if you attack War Outpost…if you keep your worms and plants out of my territory…there will be no trouble between us…

Orders
From:Colonel Santiago
To: Commander Valomar, Synth.garrison located in War Outpost

Take 2000 civilians and kill them. Then throw the bodies into the nearest fumgus field.
This is the revenge on the massacre that happened in Commaders keep.If the natives attack your base, kill all the civilians there.
No questions, just obey your orders.

Consciousness Posting

Here is an update on the attack on Inspiration Point. We successfully managed to destroy one of the Universities scout rovers that are patrolling around the city. We believe that the other one (through information gathered by intelligence) is patrolling the far side of the city.

Our current plan is to block off the city with the five derivitives of augmented patrol units, whilst the three rover derivitives hunt out and destroy the other university scout rover.

Once the University Scout Rover has been neutralised, they will return to the city and aid in the final assault. We have simulated this strategy and see a minimum of consciousness casualties.

By attacking from all directions, we can quickly determine which quarters the defence will come from, and arrange our attacks accordingly. The patrol derivitives will be the first to enter, once they have pinpointed the areas where the defence will spring from, the rover derivitives will move in quickly and finish them off.

The defenders are well armoured, as well as our troops, though we far surpass them in weaponry. This should be a textbook assault.

Our rover units are just departing now, and we are getting ourselves into position as I post...

The Unity… one hundred thousand tons of steel in the cold night with a hundred kilometers long torch behind…the Unity was just a publicity stunt to give hope for the people back on our homeplanet…Earth…they never expected us to make the trip…still, we´re here…and they all are dead…because of their own foolishness and greed…the memories are painful…
Please, introduce these other survivors to me…but don´t tell them the location of this island…some of them might be like the Spartans…and my people have suffered enough…

Escape to the Island of Peace succesful

The whole population from the three bases in the old continent has moved into the island.
Formers have started to terraform the island into habitable for humans and volunteers are being signed up to help the construction teams in enlarging the bases.
Most of the people are satisfied in the temporal cramped accomodations and rations.
”It is nothing compared to what the Spartans might have done to us.”commented Jun Hurokawa, construction engineer.

Today, an Island of deep brought the remnants of the taskforce that was sent from U.N. Headquarters against the invading Spartan Horde, Alltogether one badly damaged copter and four Scout rovers. However, they bring good news. Not only our forces were able to stop them, but they were routed, and the Spartans fled the area with the remnants of the Laser rover unit behind them. There is no other information concerning the faith of the laser Rovers.

What is happening in U.N. High Comission?

Nothing has been heard of our people in U.N. High Comission since the base was captured. Many horrible rumours have spread around but no official information is available.
And what will we do to help them? Will we send troops there or just sit here in our island while the Spartans are killing our people in U.N. Headquarters. It is time for Comissioner Pravin Lal to do something.

Dream to Commissioner Lal...

I have news from your captured base. The Spartans killed about 2000 EarthPeacekeepers because of me. I assualted their cities. I am very sorry. Now I know the other extream of you EarthHumans. I think that an assualt combining Planet and Earth forces is the only thing to do. I have deemed only one of the surviving Earthpeople suitable for you to attempt to talk to. Her name is Datajack Sinder Roze. She leads the Earthdataangels. They are spies but I think they will not reveal your location. I will contact her. Thanks for the discription of the Unity. I think I have found it. There was a desturbance that killed a large patch of Planetfungus. It was very long and it fits your description. Load a recovery team onto an Isle and I will take you there.

Dream to Datajack Roze...

I believe I have some interesting information for you. The factions who you are with now are not the only survivors. There are some others who call themselves the "Peacekeepers". They believe in the U.N. Charter but they also believe in peace and freedom. I think they would be better company than the ones you are with now. I have a Planetworm rushing for your capital with the special "thing" which will allow you to contact them. If you find and reveal their location (Pause) I will be forced to protect them.

Dream to Col. Santiago...

I will withdraw all forces in your territory in exchange for 1000 EarthPeacekeepers.

Other Survivors?

Datajack Roze indicated today that there is a chance that other survivors might exist on one of the other continents. She failed to reveal how she discovered this information, however she did reveal that they apparently seek to uphold the UN Charter and style themselves the Peacekeepers. Such news can only be good, with people like Provost Zakharov grabbing for power at the expense of humans rights. The Datajack did not say when or how, but that she would seek to communicate with the Peacekeepers and that she would inform us when contact had been made.

I thank you, this is truly a great gift...I look forward to speaking with these Peacekeepers. I am glad to know that more of humanity has survived...Please, let me know if there is any way I can help you in return...

Agreed…1000 peacekeepers for a non-attack treaty…but I´m afraid I still have to clear all native lifeforms from the vicinity of my bases…the people here are very angry because of your recent attacks…something to kill…to satisfy them…and remember…do not brake the treaty or the peacekeepers will suffer…

I want you to go to the peacekeeper territory, near U.N. Headquarters(OOC:the old U.N. Headquarters).Scout the area and find out what the peacekeepers are up to.I want to know if they are preparing a something against us.Do not let anybody detect you and if possible, don´t get into any fights. This is a strictly a covert-ops mission. If get you into trouble, there will be no backup.

Comissoner Lal,

I have to tell you how glad I am to hear that you and your people landed safely, and have managed to survive in this hostile environment. I hope you do not mind me communicating you, but the Planetmind suggested that my people have much to learn from you.

You probably don't remember, as my position onboard the Unity was not exactly vital. I acted as Information Officer, and I believe we met once at the Geneva Banquet before the mission left Earth. I must say that I'm glad to hear that you have chosen to uphold the original mission plan and that you still value the UN Charter. Not everyone I have met so far sees the way you and I do.

Orginally I worked for CEO Morgan, but the two of us disagree on far too many things to work together. Many followers chose to leave with me, and we garnered support from citizens of Provost Zakharov's University of Planet. Unfortunately, CEO Morgan did not take so kindly to our secession, and my people suffered two years of war in order to gain our independence. Provost Zakharov's support was actually key to our survival as a faction. I find it sadly ironic that I know find myself forced into a war with his faction.

Provost Zakharov has abandoned much of what the Unity mission espoused, having imprisoned many of his citizens without just cause. He is partaking in a war to wipe out the Cybernetic Conciousness, a faction of Cyborgs that arose from Provost Zakharov's own experiments. Their leader, Prime Function Aki Zeta-Five, is being victimized in this war.

For this reason, and because of Provost Zakharov's violation of the UN Charter, I have joined Aki Zeta-Five's forces in liberating the citizens of the University from Zakharov's tyranny. CEO Morgan has also offered his support in the war, although his lack of respect for our new home seems to have gotten him in trouble with the Planetmind. I cannot say I'm entirely diasappointed by that.

While I realize I may have rambled on quite a bit, I thought it was important that you knew with whom you were dealing. I believe in the free flow of information between all people, and have nothing to hide from you Comissoner. On the same level though, I understand your need for caution. You have my personal word that none of the other factions will know of your existence unless you expressesly desire it to be so.

I hope that together we can attempt to reinforce the UN Charter on the remenants of the Unity mission, and that we can provide a free flow of information between all our peoples. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that our two peoples can work together.

God, I sound like such a diplomat! No offence

Sincerely yours,
Sinder Roze

Dream to Capt. Svensgaard...

It was a garbled message that someone in the EarthCyborgs sent to me. Sorry for any inconvience. I do not know the strange child but he seems to take control of Planetworms near his bases. It is confusing. Ignore this child.

OOC: I'm sorry if you thought I sent the Isle that way over the continent. I cut around the southern most sea to avoid detection. Sorry about not being clear about that. You would not see the Isle.

Dream to Commissioner Lal...

Prepare for the arrivial of 1000 prisoners from the captured base of yours. They are my gift to you. I was forced to sign a treaty though. I can give you Planetworms to study. They will arrive in your headquarters. I cannot fight the Spartans or they will hurt your people. They are also destroying all Planetfungus so I cannot breed or hide troops in that territory.

OOC: Unity Foil exploring the Sea of Unity and a Gun Foil patrolling around Privateer Quay on the western part of Sea of Unity. the isle of the deep would cross the Sea of Unity and a chance for the Unity Foil to detect it, esepcially if your moving along southern waters which is the quickest travel time, unless you move up up along the Great Rift to the northern waters, but would take longer to travel.
Even then, chance or the Gun Foil exploring the great northern seas to detect the isle of the deep. Just wait for point where you won't be able to move anywhere via the waters without being detected by the nautilus pirates

Datajack Roze,

I am also very glad to finally meet some sensible people in this new world.Planetmind said that your faction specialises in espionage, but I will not condemn you for that as I too try to uphold the free flow of information.

The uphold of the UN Charter seems once again harder, as I heard from you how power has affected Prokhor Zakharov. But I am not ready to choose sides yet, until I have done further investigations and heard all sides.

As you and your people have fought for your freedom, so have we.Couple months ago our bases were located on the continent east from you. There, about a year ago we met the Spartans.
Their faction is a highly militaristic-facist faction that has no respect for freedom and human rights. The first meeting between me and the Spartans leader Colonel Santiago, the same Santiago who was in the Unity security team and whos lunatic followers probably fatally damaged Unity, was a complete disaster. Our two factions have so different ideologies, and because of that difference and their own opinions about ”weakness” the Spartans despise us even if haven´t them anything wrong.
After that meeting they closed their borders and didn´t want to communicate with us.
The silence finally broke half a year ago, when the Spartans launched a surprise attack against one of our bases, capturing it and excercising genocide on our people living in there. We realised that we would sooner or later lose this war, so with the help of our friend Planetmind, we packed up and moved away to a place safe from the Spartan persecutors.

Our peoples have seen war enough, and if things go the same way, will see much more.I will try to talk to Zakharov and maybe we can come into some kind agreement about the situation.Lets hope that he will listen to a neutral faction.I truly wish we can find a peaceful solution to this situation, because in war nobody wins and everyone loses.
If you could send me Zakharovs frequency and I´ll make contact with him.

You, my friend, have taken a weight from my back, as you prove that there are people here on this planet that have not abandoned freedom and human rights for personal gain or just simple survival. I´m glad to finally have found an ally in this harsh world.

-Comissioner Pravin Lal

With the destruction of one scout rover near Inspiration Point we shall have you move into position to defend the colony pod for Inspiration Point.

This colony pod shall head south with you as the defence, far from all attacking units, the orders shall not be spoken and are to be encoded so no one hears of their movements.

With hope, this new colony, Researchers Hold, will be constucted deep in a mountain hideaway, so as to be impenetrable from attack and grant all of our units the attacking advantage, even in defence thanks to its rocky crag holds.

Haerold: So Sven, the transaction is complete.
Sven: Yes, hopefully this will aid you in your battle against the Cyborgs.
Haerold: Thank you, this shall be a great help to us.
Sven: Yes, those fiendish Cyborgs whom my leader embraces are nothing but a bunch of landgrubbing fools who are only attempting to manipulate the 'true' humans.
Haerold: Yes Sven, I agree fully with you. Thank you once again for this large shipment of materials.
Sven: You are welcome, I will be back as soon as possible with more aid.
There are many who share my views and are diverting materials to help you...

Please Roze, reconsider this petty war against us. We have done nothing to harm you and only seek to help you in your quest for knowledge. If we make peace then I will release the Cyborg-supporters to you, all 1,320 of them.

Roze, our ideologies are so much alike, why should we quarrel. I recognized your faction and thus, hopefully, you will recognize mine as a force that belongs here.

I am willing, to an extent to allow the Cyborgs back into my faction; but I will NOT tolerate them as a seperate force to be reckoned with on this planet. All that does is tear us farther apart rather than bring humanity back together.

And that. Is the goal of the UN Charter.

Comissoner,
I'm sad to hear that what I had hoped were isolated conflicts on this continent, have continued to spread on yours. I'm sorry to hear that your people have suffered and if there is anything I can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to ask.
As for Provost Zakharov, I have enclosed his commlink frequency with this message. However, do not feel you have to step in on my behalf. He has recently had a slight change of heart, and is willing to release his prisoners to my care. While he still plans to persecute the Cybernetic faction, he has chosen to release the prisoners and that is all I asked for. Hopefully I will be able to find a diplomatic solution to their conflict, and if you have any suggestions in this regard, they would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Roze

Provost,
I am glad to hear that you are at least willing to release your prisoners. While I still hope you will cease this cruel vendetta against Aki Zeta-Five's people, your respect for the UN charter can not go unnoticed. I am willing to call a truce and I assure you my forces will not move against you without provocation. As for the supporters, they will remain honoured guests here at Data DeCentral until a successful resolution to this conflict can be reached. Once again I implore you to sit down with Zeta-Five and talk this out. There is no good reason that our four factions cannot live together in peace.
Sincerely,

Dear Aki Zeta-Five,
I am writing to inform you that I have negotiated the release of the Cybernetic sympathisers with Provost Zakharov. All of them will be released to me, and I assure they will recieve the best treatment imaginable while they are here as my guests. I'm still trying to convince Zakharov to see reason, and to sit down and talk things out, but I have guarenteed that my troops will not move against him. I implore you as well not to turn your back on a diplomatic solution to this problem. I have confidence that a peaceful resolution can be reached if the four of us could only sit down and talk.

Sincerely,

Dream to Commissoner Lal...

I hope your communications are going well with Earthroze. I also hope that the Earthpeacekeepers from the captured base have arrived well. I have a plan how to recapture the base and have enough time to relocate the population fast. I have found a transport in an Earthpod out at sea last Earthweek. I think that you can mount the transport onto a Earthcolonypod and transport the citizens fast. This is my plan. The dusturbance caused by the Spartans clearing Planetfungus causes an burst of growth, so the life can get away before they are killed. This has left me with a good sized army. If I had your Earthcopters I could load Planetworms onto them and you can drop thousands upon the city garrison. The transport would then load Earthpeacekeepers and get out of the area along with any who can get a ride with the Earthcopter. I will sacrifice my troops. They have agreed to die for our new ally. They will fight to the death. I have already stationed Planetisles around the Earthisle. I do not know how to run it. I do have a name for it though. PlanetUnity.

OOC: Remember the Unity Copter, Unity "Mining" Laser, and the two Landing Pod locations in the Unity wreakage (You should be there by now).

Dream to CEO Morgan...

I now control the Manifold. I would advise you to stop the mining, stop the fighting, and start talking.

Mindworm Tails: The Fire in the Sky.

A streaking, white flame descended on Planet. A mindworm looked up to see it. It was like a large fungal bloom, it thought. The burning blue front seems to be like a fungal flower and the rest is the stem. He watched it hit the coast of the continent, the golden petal flower crushing all in its path.
A mindworm halfway across the same continent saw a giant blue flame aproaching him. He was near the only place on Planet without fungus in the water. He watched as it came to him, burning hot but with a set of golden petals on it so beautiful he could not stop watching until he fell into a quickly dying fusion reactor.
A mindworm on the other end of the same continent heard a great rumbling. She looked up and saw a strange sight. She saw a giant, blue flower coming at her at a terrific speed. She felt no fear though for she felt that the flower would do her no harm. She watched it even as her hatchlings ran away from the light. The flower then made a huge jerk and hurled thousands of tons of soil upon the mindworm.
Planet gave a large shudder as Planet lost Planet's final viewer of the terrible thing that plunged itself into Planet's brain. The thing followed 7 bright stars as they came to Planet. Unlike the stars, the flower burnt like a torch. Planet was puzzled about this. Planet pondered on how a flower burnt but not a star for about one month, then gave up.

A good plan...once again you prove to be a loyal friend… even sacrifising you own people for us…thank you…I´m afraid what is left the copter unit is…only one copter with heavy damage…Maybe we can find more copters where you say the Unity wreckage is… I have prepared a recovery team in U.N. Headquarters… they are waiting for an Isle of deep there…and the 1000 rescued have arrived safely to the island…I also have two Synthmetal rover units ready…I can load them too into the transport… to have escorts for the colony pod…

1000 people rescued from the claws of the Spartans

Today, the people in U.N. headquarters rejoiced as 1000 tired and shaken, but happy peacekeepers arrived on an Isle of deep. They were from the base the Spartans had captured.Later that day, Comissioner Pravin Lal went to see the survivors and to welcome them to their new home. Once again thank you goes to Planetmind, who sacrifised much to get these people out.
The survivors from High Comission told everything about how the Spartans massacring the inhabitants of the base, about the 7000 people ”Un-able” people who were rounded up in camps to be executed and about the 2000 people who were killed and their bodies thrown in the fungus fields, just for revenge.
They had used our people and are still using them as human shields. We must help them.

Urgent Message
From:Commander Von Halzburg, Special Unit
To:Colonel Santiago

Sir, this is very disturbing… the U.N. Headquarters… is empty.Completely.
We didn´t go to investigate inside the base because we found tracks left by mindworms.
As if boil after boil has gone in.However, no scars of battle can be found anywhere, better yet, the base has been completely cleared. No equipment or valuables left.Seems that the peacekeepers have done here the same trick as in U.N. temple of Sol.
Where they´ve gone is another mystery.
We are going to stay and invetigate this area for a while and then leave for War Outpost.

The remnants of 1st Laser rovers.
Location:100km east from U.N. Headquarters

Commander Herman was watching the calm sea in the cockpit of his damaged rover while his assistants in the back were trying to find what still was left of the unit and its supplies. They had chased the Spartans for 100km until they were far enough. The Spartans had fled towards north, and Commander Herman had realised that nobody knew about his units faith. In the peacekeepers new home, they probably thought everyone from this unit had died fighting against the Spartans.

A knock on the door woke him form his thoughts, ”Come in”.One of the assistants came in and saluted to the Commander, ”Sir, Count is like this. One lightly damaged rover, 3 moderately damaged and 2 badly damaged rovers.Three rovers had to be abandoned,
and one of the badly damaged rovers has to be abandoned as it life support systems are starting to fail, and communications rover it still beyond repair… Sir, we have supplies for about 1 month, then we´re dead.”his voice started to quiver at the last sentence.
”Yes Leutenant, thank you, I know that.” angrily answered the Commander and turned away from the assistant Leutenant.

”You can go now, Leutenant.”
”Yes, Sir.”
the assistant turned, opened the door and was about to leave, when Commander Herman said, ”Leutenant, don´t worry, we´ll get back home safe and sound.”
The Leutenant didn´t answer and left the cockpit silently.

Back in humanity base, where Commander Herman and his unit came from, a while ago the comm antennaes had picked some very faint transmissions. The experts couldn´t was it human made, but it wasn’t from the Spartans because it came from North-West.
But the administration didn´t send an expedition to investigate as the Spartans were marching towards U.N. Headquarters and every unit was needed.

”Well, now we are going to investigate it.”
The Commander opened a comm channel with the rest of the rovers,
”All rovers, be ready to leave tomorrow morning back towards humanity base.”

Peace With Roze!

Our fine leader has met with Head Datajack Sinder Roze of the Data Angels and crafted a fine peace treaty agreement. The conditions of the peace are the release of all Cyborg prisoners to Roze, and the withdrawl of our units from their territory.

They, in turn will withdraw their units from our territory and make peace with us. This is a turning day in the war.

Gaia's Landing
News of the Planet

Deirdre Skye proclaimed as Colony Leader

After the 10 years of Arthur White's rule as a temporary colony leader, a democratic vote was kept to find a new leader. Mrs. Skye won with 85% support. Skye is known in the whole colony as an environmentalist democrat. Her original occupation in the Unity was that of a botanist, and because of that she has decided to coordinate a foresting project. Birch and pine seeds are already being planted near the colony Lily of the Valley. Our Colony Leader has also decided to start expanding the colony and exploring new areas as quickly as possible because she says she has evidence of other possible survivors from the Unity, who must be contacted as soon as possible.

Mind worm, what it is?

Eoin Dornan, an ex-irishman and the captain of Unity Colony's exploration group has announced the finding of a strange new life-form from the fungus around Gaia's Landing. The mindworms seem to be primitively intelligent, but the strange thing with them is that one of the soldiers reported a "connection" with one of them. This soldier, who wants to not reveal her identity for now, has told that she can "speak" with the mindworms by just thinking. There has been speak of mind links on Earth, too, as many of the readers may remember, but a link with an animal was never mentioned. Stay tuned for further information. The worms might be quite an important ally on the Planet.

OCC-Darkcloud, I only pledged truce. Just making sure that's clear, cause your post suggested a permanent peace treaty.

Cyborgs Arrive at Data DeCentral

The cybernetic smympathisers, perviously being held by Provost Zakharov, arrived today in Data DeCentral to a warm welcome. Some of the citizens seemed malnourished, but for the most part all were in good health and happy to being on the road to freedom. As part of the agreement, they are required to stay in Data Angel territory until a resolution to the conflict can be reached, and many Data Angels have opened their homes to our honoured guests. Plans are underway for a celebration to welcome our new friends at the Headquarters building in Data DeCentral. All are invited to attend.

Dream to Lady Skye...

Greetings. I would like to introduce myself. I am Planetmind. I control all native lifeforms on Planet. I hope we will have a good relationship. I respect the way you treat me. Your Earthtree and Earthwheat are welcomed among my Planetfungus and Planetworms. One of your people has communicated with one of my Planetworms. This suprises me.

OOC:I thought that the Peacekeepers were already at the wreakage.

Dream to Commissoner Lal...

I hope my plan will work. Maybe you could attempt to copy the Earthcopter. I managed to tow the PlanetUnity to your island. I have covered it with Planetworms to hide it from the Spartans. My Planetisles have also found a EarthUnitySkimmer. It was in another Earthpod. I hope you are getting along with EarthRoze well.

OOC: Where's Morgan? Darkcloud!

Dream to Datajack Roze...

I have not contacted you for a while. I was wondering, since you are friends with my ally, if you needed any military help? I don't want to lose my friends.

Dream to Capt. Svensgaard...

Not contacting me in a while? I wonder if you and I could make an aggreement to help us share my ocean.

[i]Dream to Planetmind,

It is good to hear from you again, and do not fear you are frequently in my thoughts. Every time I gaze out upon the territory surrounding Data DeCentral I am reminded of your friendship.

I thank you for your kind offering, but my people are not currently at risk. However Provost Zakharov continues to assault my friend Aki Zeta-Five, simply because of her difference in beliefs. I only wish I could make the others see reason and make peace. Sadly I fear this is beyond me. I thank you for your kind offer though, and will keep it in mind in future. I hope similarly, that if you find yourself at risk you will contact me.

I do have a question for you though. My former units are currently at work around my bases, building farms to sustain our growing population. Is this disruptive to you? Is there a better medium? How do you respond to Earth flora? Would it be less disruptive if we were to plant forests? Like you, I would hate to do anything to harm our friendship.

Insipration Point Captured!

Whilst there have been some anomalies which have implications for our intelligence service, the military units performed as expected and easily overwhelmed the meagre, hasty defences of the university city.

As the city was surrounded, our rover units quickly determined that the other scout rover was long gone, apparantly escorting a colony pod to the south east. Once security has been established in Inspiration Point the rover units will be able to track them down and capture them.

The rover derivitaves returned to the city which marked the beinning of the attack. Though there where actually three synthmetal defenders, rather than two as inteligence had informed, there seemed to be among the defenders many new recruits who seemed only to be wearing their armoured suits for the first time. Their lack of experience proved to be a telling point.

Control of the perimeter came easily, The naval derivative bombarded key entry points around the port quarter to confuse the defence and allow this area to be take quickly as well. The main force of the garrison seemed to concentrate around the governmental buildings. Control of the rest of the city was established with minimum loss, and for some time there was a standoff around their municipal hall and governmental research facilities. These facilities, and hence the whole city, where gained, but not without loss. Derivative 2.5 of the augmented patrol units where destroyed, and the 2.1 and 2.7 derivatives both took heavy casualties, and have been amalgamated into the one derivitave (2.17)

Civilian casualties where low, as most of the fighting occured in the government quarter. Many of the governmental officials are now being round up, and official databanks are being searched for evidence of their crimes against the consciousness. Preliminary investigations have shown that some sympathisers where indeed 'exterminated' though we are going to gather all the evidence before we make formal charges.

Order is now being established, with the civilian population in many cases being very helpful. One group of Zhakarov supporters have since barricaded themselves inside a factory. Their numbers are small, and they are not well armed, so we expect them to surrender once they run out of food. We have the factory safely contained, and are negotiating with their leader now. Force has not been given as an option to the army negotiators unless the dissidents indicate any sort of threat to the other civilians.

Inspiration point has been captured. The help from your troops was invaluable and we thank you.

I have some information yu may not like though. In the attack we discovered that the equipment for a whole extra regiment of defenders had been rush built. Having investigated the official databanks of the city it seems that these units where built with extra minerals donated from university sympathisers among YOUR faction. The University knows about you through rogue members of your faction who have been diverting stolen minerals to the university, helping them build military units which will be used against your own

Let me assure our friendship is still strong, I would not for the slightest second theorise that you would support the university whilst allowing your troops to attack them. I will aid all the resources I can to help you find these rebels - should you so need.

I think we can now trade the techs safely. I believe it was Information Networks and planetary networks for Doctrine:Flexibility. I am transmitting the data now.

A side note - that city in the fungus across the ocean. Perhaps they are the ones tranmitting the dreams and controlling the mindworms with technology we have not yet discovered. I think we need to make (discreet) contact with them. I have a unit trained for intelligence work that could perhaps procure information without alerting them that we know about them. If you could transport this probe team across the ocean we could learn if they are the real manipulators of our nighttime repose or if this planet really does have a voice as it claims.

With our military campaign against Inspiration Point complete we can now resume normal commuications once again.

I see, after being mired in reports from my army, that now you have brokered a truce with the university. Though I see they still do not recognise my factions independance. I would be willing to negotiate diplomatically, but not with Prokhor Zhakarov. If the University surrenders him, and his chief administrative and military staff to answer for crimes against humanity, then I would gladly enter talks with his successor.

In fact, should you agree, then I would like to the trials to be conducted in Data DeCentral. You have proven yourself to have the neutral stance and even temper that would most easily facilitate valid trials. Should I conduct them I fear that university(Zhakarov) supporters could too easily call 'prejudice'. It is important that the trials be seen to be fair.

Should you agree, then I would be willing to donate energy credits to help build the facilities necessary. I also believe that the development of a continental committee, to develop a new charter on the rights of all people on this continent and diplomatic conventions would be a positive step to ensuring we all live in harmony for generations to come. Whilst in general we would be adopting the UN charters, this would ensure that those that believe it is not valid for a new planet to have the rules of the old would not have such room for argument.

Thank you for giving us the remains of Unity…and for the skimmer…
the one colony pod and the two Synth.Rovers are ready... they are waiting in UN Headquarters for a Isle of deep...and one full copter unit is travelling towards the Spartan continent...
I have found Datajack Roze a valuable ally and a friend...I hope that there are more faction leaders like her...

UN Free Press

The Unity wreakage has been found

Or rather, not found but towed to the island.A huge collection of isles of deep brought the remains of Unity to our shores.Recovery teams have started excavating the wreakage, and until now they´ve found intact parts for building copters worth a unit in a damaged pod ,and also the Unity Mining laser. Also, two more pods have been intact, but the recoverers haven´t opened them yet.
Scientist have been working quite a while trying to build copters , so the parts found from the Unity wreckage will help greatly their task.
Instead of using the wreakage as a source for industrial materials, the administration plans to move it to the inland, repair it and make it a monument for future generations to wonder.
Also, our Faction received today another gift from Planetmind as a Skimmer arrived to U.N. Headquarters.
This will be invaluable for the purposes of exploring the planet and contacting other factions.

OOC:Are the moderators supposed to say what is to be found from pods?
