Interesting, though I'm always skeptical of stories that rely on unnamed sources. Could be true. Could be partly true. Could be false. It's really hard to know.
Though it looks like they (The New Yorker) went to some effort to get input from a few different sources (unnamed as they may be) with different perspectives.

I'm not saying The New Yorker made this stuff up, Panag. I'm saying that it may only be partly true (or part of the truth, which is slightly different).
Like you say, we probably don't know the half of it.

I'm with Panag on this one. Conspiracies and such are considered ilk of the loonies, but I suspect we don't know even part of what goes on.

I found it especially amusing that the CIA comes off as the voice of reason in the article (albeit a timid voice of reason).

If the CIA is the voice of reason, I'm scared of these other guys.

THe CIA is incompetent and beurocratic and expnsive. And ntakes too long. That's why DoD has organic intel and analysis assets. Hope I'm not contributing to the conspiracy. I haven't read it.

hi ,
and what about all of those other branches then , .... there are like 30 plus seals of agencies in the senate oversight com , ....
how many more are needed to do the same job , ....
the biggest problem is that they still dont know a lot the word "interagency" , ..... they still dont work enough with each other , ...
what a waste of resources and money , ...
have a nice day

The brothers Saddam Kamel and Hussein Kamel - Is this some kind of late April Fool's joke?
72 % of Americans believe Saddam was responsible for the WTC attacks? The same figure in most of Europe would probably be 0.1 % or something.
