you didn't ask the "How do I put my nr of posts in a thread back to 50"
the question you apparently asked was rather more diffecult, I had to check it out since I couldn't remember how I ever did *that* what you asked for.

You can always add
&perpage=100
or whatever number you want to the address of every thread you visit, but that's a lot of work. Something should be done about this.

You can even set it to keep your (customized) settings and still be able to change your avatar.

I tried typing in a different "&perpage=nn" setting some time ago, it did not override my control panel setting.
