  • In-game messages: Pi Square & Binary Bastion build crawler, Logic Loop Impact Interceptor (renamed to CCS Spitfire), Liar's Lair & Zetaris rec commons.
  • Tentative production orders: Logic Loop and Pi Square: probe team. Liar's Lair: trance scout. Binary Bastion: rec commons. Zetaris: crawler.
  • Former orders
  • Military orders
  • Atlantis taken. Naval Yard scrapped for 40 credits. B-drones appeared in Apolyton Prime, And/Or Gate and Aurora. Doctor appointed in those two last bases.
  • Athena Anchorage (63), Mythical Matrix (4), Casablanca (8) production hurried for tha amount mentioned after the base name.
  • If the Hive and Drones declare war on us, I discovered that due to a drop in commerce and thus psych production, there would be an extra drone in Triplex. Therefore I turned one Triplex worker into a technician.
  • This time I refused to declare war on the Hive, and Roze asked 75 credits instead of EthCalc. I accepted to avoid war. Anyway, fortunately infiltration was succesful and the probe skimship survived with a morale upgrade to hardened.
  • MBV cruiser sunk PEACE gunship on (40.46) by long range fire. All citizens in MBV turned into doctors to counter pacifism drones. But don't worry: next year the cruiser should be rehomed and the pacifism drones will disappear.
  • Calico cruiser sunk barque on (40.40) by long range fire.
  • Pamplonan sunk schooner on (36.50) by long range fire.

I haven't written a turn report though, as many decisions were unsure or changed until the last moment, so I had to improvize a bit. I could write one if you want, but it would take some time.

I've conferred a lot with GeoModder today, and most of turn has been played according to the already made suggestions.
Among other things the PEACE schooner has been destroyed, as there was a majority for that in the poll. Also we had the shortest war in history with the Angels, taking Coder's Pit according to Geo's suggestion in the MAF thread. (3D article about it?)
Only three units still need to move: a former around Binary Bastion which was ordered to move to unexisting coordinates IIRC, the impact interceptor in Pi Square, and the Calico cruiser. I'll do that tomorrow after some more discussion on what to do.
Oh yes, one major mistake, I forgot to rehome the MBV cruiser. Sorry Impaler. I can assure you I will never do so again.

WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON HERE!!

I see coutless changes to my Former orders here, almost nothing in the Central Trantor area is as I posted? I can understand some of the build changes that were made for Military Production (Comand Centers, Plasma Garrison ect ect) but for Gods sake people this is over the line to simply change all the former orders I had posted without even raising any objections to them on the forum or consulting me. If all my work is going to simply be ignored I dont see why I am going to waste my precious time on this game. Their had better be a DAMN GOOD explination for this!

PUT turn rapport MY 2160
  • In-game messages: Caboolture builds crawler. I won't bore you with all the defeats we endured. The good news is that at least one Drone chopper is down. The bad that Hive has used Apaches as well.
  • Production orders: Gardens Point: Plasma Garrison. Daintree: Flying Brigade, hurry with 5 ec. Cairns: Drop Scout. Caboolture: Missile Chopper, hurry with 94 ec.
  • SE changes: Econ 80, Psych 20, Labs 0. No use to research any more, psych increased for drone control.
  • Former and crawler near Gardens Point moved into base.
  • Former and crawler near Cairns moved into base.
  • Daintree crawler moved SW, and transfers 2 minerals to Daintree again.
  • Sea former near Gardens Point moved SW for going to that pod to the west next turn.
  • Missile Needlejet used to attack Kelvin Grove, a Hive drop rover destroyed, as is our jet since it was it's second flyturn.
  • Battle Ogre MK1 used to conquer and obliterate Kelvin Grove. Put on hold then.
  • Upgraded the trance scout in Caboolture to a drop scout, and as approved by Googlie dropped it in DBTSverse Portal and returned to Caboolture. Now it awaits further instruction whether to obliterate Caboolture or not.
  • Transfers control of the Interceptor to CyCon.
  • Changed some workers to tiles to max mineral output where the crawlers have left.
  • Cashed the Research Hospitals (120 ec's)
  • Upgraded the Caboolture Drop Scout to a Drop Sam Missile Scout (90 ec). Less chance for a succesfull attack now
  • Pre-accepted transfer of all tech and remaining credits to CyCon.

  • Binary Bastion: Scout scrapped, production changed to crawler
  • Boolean Bay: production changed to crawler and moved a worker from farm to forest

  • DBTSverse Portal: production switched to Aerospace Complex and hurried for 108 ec
  • Liar's Lair: production Transport Cruiser started, changed worker from mineral bonus to forest (2 energy more)

  • Logic Loop: Aerospace Complex (can be hurried for 98 ec, do so?)
  • Mega Reboot: crawler production started

  • 72/56 moved SW and starts a sensor
  • Crawler on 70.54 moved south to harvest 2 minerals there, worker in DBTS placed on 70.54 (it still takes 8 turns to grow that base)
  • 6 crawlers around Apolyton Prime have started a borehole, is finished in 4 turns.

MAF moves
  • Both interceptors brought to Pi Square, on the way a PEACE crawler discovered on Phenix Island (61.61)
  • Impact Marine from Tassadar's Shrine to Mega Reboot.
  • Both Impact Cruisers on leave in Atlantis (repairing), update, moved them out of Atlantis, one to Paradigm and one just outside Atlantis. Didn't want to risk a suicide run from that Skyhawk by the Angels.
  • Transports and Love Boat moved as per orders in the MAF thread, as is the scout rover.

I'll keep it short
  • Caboolture starts production of a scout unit, finished in 1 turn.
  • Missile Interceptor chopper has killed a Hive noodle and drop rover!!! Our first counterattack this war.
  • Missile Interceptor chopper moved to DBTS, and transfered to CyCon.
  • Children's Creche scrapped, 25 ec recovered.
  • 38 ec and PUT map sent to CyCon.

CyCon MY 2160bis turn report
  • Executed most of the MAF orders as proposed in the thread. Exceptions are that the transport picking up the probes has gone one more tile south and only could pick up one probe team, since the Pi Square production was delayed due to drone riots. An oversight of me. Probes can start their job in 2 turns. Second exception is that the marine on MR couldn't go to the coast, I therefore delayed the finishing of the transport in Liar's Lair also with 1 turn.
  • Problem in DBTS, I'm sure that I payed enough ec's for hurrying the AC there last turn, but it will take 1 more turn to finish, don't know why. Anyway, air defenses are in place and 2 ground units in the base.
  • New productions. Apolyton Prime: Drop Missile Infantry, MegabyteVille: crawler, Triplex: plasma garrison, Logic Loop; changed to xmissile chopper. Some more minor stuff that I don't remember ATM.
  • extra unit movement: the finished probe foil tried to infiltrate the Believers, but I didn't press because of a probe team in the target base. Instead I started to move it north.
  • Upgrades: Impact Cruisers to Hygeria's (SAM missile cruisers), spitfire to xmissile interceptor, impact marine rover to xmissile marine rover. That's about it I think.
  • Former movements: 1 extra former on borehole construction, the finished formers near the base with the Neural Amplifier SP started on a sensor array south of Logic Loop.
  • Hurried productions: partially in Liar's Lair for the transport, completely for the RC in Binary Bastion.

That's about it, I think. Sorry for the probably a bit incomplete turn report.

Our units destroyed: Missle interceptor destroyed by missle needle, both X missle interceptors destroyed by missle copter as well as missle rotor we got from PUT last tun . Unity rover destroyed by Red Apache as well as trance plasma garrison.

Orders executed as per MAF. No probe defences encountered. One probe lost after infiltrating Hive networks . Second probe succesfully after stealing Intelectual Integritiy. Third probe successfully mindcontrolled DBTSverse Portal for 70 energy credits granting us: Hive Red Apache with 40 percent damage, another Red Apache with 10 percent damage, undamaged Liberator drop squad and tech steal - Doctrine Loyalty. Dropped missle squad into DBTSverse portal and upgraded it to our new GeoDropper Squad (Drop Missle SAM) (80 credits lost).
Contacted Miriam - refused, asked her to withdraw, she pronounced vendetta. Used Yang Bomber to destroy the impact rover, but it got 30 percent damage in process.
We have 105 credits left, and I am open for new inputs. Also there are two drones in DBTS (out of two population), but I didn`t touch it or mess with production of newly started garrison. Midturn save is here:midturn save

So you have presend save with reload warnings (because I moved all units again).

Anyway - choppers moved from DBTS, DBTS obliterated (sanctions - 5 trade credits lost). Hurried Logic Loop production , adjusted all bases not to experience riots. Also, we swicthed to planned (30 percent psych). One of our level two bases (forgot the name, check the presend), is starving at -1 per turn. Moved all units as per order and destroyed spotted Drone chopper.

Pressend MY 2166.

Events this turn:
Lost 5 units (crawlers and a missile rotor). The rotor saved us from losing another crawler though.
Made some military moves. New Jerusalem and another base (forgot the name) are taken. Probes are dropped.
Hurried all production that could be finished with less then 50 ec's.
On (more or less) Impaler's suggestion started production of some interceptors (missile ones, Impaler. I do press on that weapon) and a Xchopper.
Redirected prodution in all occasions from plasma defenders to trance scouts. Started crawler production in other bases.
And/Or Gate is gone, probably destroyed when the GeoDropper inthere was attacked by the Drones.
Started to build mines and roads near Aurora and Apolyton Prime.

Turn is about played. Sended a midsave and a turn save to both Impaler and Maniac. I can't post the turn later on due to a separation of me and my computer.

Posted the turn to the Drones.

Made a differnt End turn from the one Geo Sent, the one I posted included moving Choppers in Lair and Paradigm to Reboot, this should help us attack the Angel bases the following turn.

Also moved a few of the infantry units in Trantor so their in good positions to retake Pi or Defend us at later dates. Specificaly Ogree north 1 space, Plasma Garrison in Matrix to Zet, Garrison in Logic Loop to Ap.

Turn played. Upon request, a pressend save is available.

Killed two Drone units and one Hive unit. Lot's of production hurried (got an army again next turn, and some rec coms).
Formers on the position Impaler requested.
O yes, Logic Loop will be the next HQ from next turn on.
Renamed lot's of newly assimilated bases and a few old ones as by the names put in the 'Rename Base' thread, but that's only visible in the Drone turn.

Short turn report:

Zetaris actually survided attack!!
Drone attacking forces were not strong enough to eliminate sufficient units making a drop invasion of Zetaris not worthwhile.

2 drone choppers on retreat courses were intercepted and destroyed. Next turn is gonna be hard. 5 choppers in Arnelos ready to attack Zetaris, 5 defending units in Zetaris.

Also, obliterated 2 Angel bases. If 2 more are obliterated, Abort-Retry-Fail(ed), Paradigm and Mega Reboot are save from direct drop and chop attack.

Sorry, forgot to make an pressend save, but in short:

Took out a drone chopper -and fighter north of Zetaris, lost one fighter in return and a second one will be lost next turn I think.

Conquered Gargoyle Garden (Angel). I think the Hive player will be very surprised. If all goes as planned, they can't take it without destroying it.

Attacked DataAngel HQ (Hive base now), and eliminated one and nearly destroyed a second fighter. Hive fighter craft are disabled above Angel territory for now.

Conquered two Believer bases and took out the defense of a third base, next turn that one is taken as well (haven't done it now for low population and 2 happy facilities in the base).
The Believer's core army is now disabled, I think.

Nerve stapled all Believer bases, next turn the same must be done again with CyCon bases for the 'sanctions' expire then.

Hurried ALL possible aircraft production, started mostly crawler production in southern CyCon -and ex-believer bases.
Seabases continue or aircraft, or plasma garrison producition.

O yes, in engagements with Hive and Drones gassing was involved, I'm officially a war criminal now.

Ok, turn report.

Zetaris survided again, but running out of luck I think. A reaaal huge invasion and chopper force is waiting in Arnelos, and our defenses are about decimated intown.
Also, trick in Gargoyle didn't work. I thought the base would be destroyed upon conquest of the Hive, but no, must have grown in the nick of time. So I work towards obliterating perhaps Paradigm next turn if necessary.
One Believer base conquered, one destroyed. All money spent, 3 productions hurried with it. Changed back to FM, but I suspect some turn in the near future we'll have to switch again for the sanctions against us are lifted which means the nerve stapling is about to finish as well.

Hive/Drone drop pod (with defenses around) spotted on the NE of TRANTOR (near were And/Or Gate was). I tried to prepare a little surprise for next turn. Check it out if interested.

About all Angel bases are conquered now by the Hive, only one seabase remains and I think a Hive transport is on it's way there right now.

Turn report 2172.

Zetaris obliterated. I obliterated Mythical Matrix because Hive founded a base 3 tiles under Arneloski, on SOLARIS-continent, and is within drop range of that new base. lurking Xchopper to attack that new base was appearantly discovered and destroyed. I took out 1 drop rover and 2 choppers in the former Zetaris area without losses. All units returning to Logic Loop now.

Thermal, Paradigm, Atlantis, Mega Reboot and Abort/Retry/Fail(ed) endured successfull Hive chopper assaults. Defenses destroyed, no attackers to be seen. Problem with Drones. Being not used to nerve stapling I mis-estimated the duration of it and about all CYDONIA and seabases had drones now. Quelled those by running 50% Econ/Psych and doctors where necessary, changed back to Planned. 'Survival' convoy on it's way to safety. I'll try to gradually bring things to a safer location for the last base (crawlers, perhaps probe cruisers). I'm pretty sure now that CyCon will survive till end of sunspot. We may have a change to 'vote' thus.

Also, a bug popped up. Next turn menu stated that the turn is forwarded to Hive-2173. Don't know though if it is really a bug or that me working in the scenario editor on another project prior to completing the turn just messed things up a bit.

Hmm - that has all the hallmarks of a faction being eliminated. (and if the CyCon were eliminated, it would jump immediately to the start of the next mission year with the first faction, who would be the Hive.

Might it be that when you obliterated Zetaris and MM that all the original CyCon bases are eliminated and now you are using PEACE and Believer bases? - that might confuse the game mechanics into thinking that it needed to trigger the "jump 1 forward" manoever

That's all I can think of that might have happened (or have you captured Miriam? - that shouldn't trigger it, but who knows?)


edit: It must be something you did that turn. When I open the turn and immediately hit "turn complete" (without moving anything or doing anything) the game flips forward normally to the Drones' turn
