Minister of war Glorificus 1750 BC
Glorificus (size 2) supports 1 warrior which is fortified in the city keeping martial law and defending .

there is an archer from Imperialis 2 squares East, I suggest we move this unit into this city and support from here as it will free up a shield which is supporting it.

we are currently building settlers in this city, I recomend building an explorer unit first and then building a settlers.

poll is to support the archer or not and too ask for an explorer before the settlers.

building a settler in such small towns isn't the best thing to do, before you know it you are disbanding expensive units just because you couldn't wait.
(and this is no fun )

I agree shade, better to let the cities grow a little perhaps size 3 before building the settlers.

Yes, we are struggling with low food and shield production with all these settlers. And it is a problem to have more cities right now.

Hydey:

We really need monarchy.
Until then, we will have to let our cities grow more before building settlers, as suggested already.

I agree with your suggestion regarding the archers, as they are not much help in exploration.

move the archer in, support him, feed him a banana, and keep him there. Build an explorer before the settler to let the city grow, then build a settler.
