I know that some of you will be disappointed …
… that the punishment of France will finally be limited to waiting a long time before our President be invited to the ranch (but the exact punishing nature of this deprivation has yet to be analysed), and to the compulsory reading of three books given by Georges to Jacques (yes, M. Bush referred to our President as Jacques), but by chance, these books are about native Americans, and Jacques has a deep interest for primitive cultures.

However, the Defence Secretary had stricken a terrible blow by telling three French pilots that their participation in a military manoeuvre will not be welcome.

All those who will not be disappointed will certainly appreciate that the reason prevail at last, and that international relations are best done when respect is displayed along debates where disagreement is not only possible, but frequent and normal.

We have all learned a lot during this (small) crisis; I hope nevertheless that those who fabricated it will have learn enough not to reiterate.

Yes, we hope you've learned to play ball with us. The American definition of "ally" is a tad difference from everyone elses.

I think the French pilots should just turn up to the exercise anyway.

If WWIII were to arise and France collapsed again, the US should not save it once more.

"Jacques has a deep interest for primitives cultures."

Well, of course he does. He's the leader of France, isn't he?

We always knew that the mighty US would inflict such horrendous punishment on France, did we not....

Of course the worst sanction still has to be removed - will the Congress fast food joint return to offering french fries? I don't think Jacques can stand the pain of liberty fries much longer...

I think the Commission should force them to chnage back the name to french fries through the WTO. Because it creates bad blood.

No, we are speaking about the primitve culture you mercilessly exterminated, not the one who still resists

Irony is an American referring to French culture as "primitive"

The U.S. is so great a nation, that if ww3 happen and we bail France out as usual, we don't ask for thanks. We would not insist that the country change their snooty ways.

This is how great the U.S. is.

Peace out

Ah but what about the horrible punishment of Americans not going to their local French restaurants, run by Americans. Can France survive that?

Er, whom exactly are you going to bail out the French from in WW3?

well there will be no ww3, so no one exactly

but we would do it just the same.

and yes my above post was to point out the absurdity of that particular action.

And France will support you in your next war of independence. At least as long as it's against the Limeys.

I think on the indebtedness scale it's:

USA: 3

France: 1

I'd just like to slip in a friendly reminder that the US owes FRANCE its existence

Quote:

I agree. It's time to punish the French for the PLAGUE that they helped liberate from Britain oh so long ago

Instead, we should allow Germany to conquer all of Europe. That'll show those French bastards we mean business!!!! I'm sure it'll improve relations with Germany for YEARS to come.

I gave you the opening, you can exploit it.

Actually it's 4-1 if we count protection from Soviets.

And that includes you too Osterrlich.
