Civ 2 in Windows 2000?
Should it work? When I open the application, even with the patch, I get a "Stack Fault" error at some .dll
Is there any way to get it working? Has anyone else encountered this?

Can I suggest you browse down this forum - about a dozen posts to find this thread -- not I fear a complete solution, but at least enough to tell you it can be done ...

HAH! I just posted this not that long ago and I got it to work under win2k. No patches. No screwing around with Win2k settings. Its easy!

Oh, I guess I better tell you how I did it. Simply remove the CD then run the game. It'll ask you to "repeat the search", just choose "cancel" or something like that and it'll work great.
