Unlikely. Infogreed, eh, Atari won't do such a thing. They wouldn't even allow abandonware . Sid bought the rights of some of the older MicroProse games back and reversed the situation on those

However, it seems that even he won't open source his old work.

SCO which is trying to sue the open soucre operation system have little change of winning in court. It I own than copyright on than book I must defend it by telling than book
pub that they are vilioable my copyright and give full detrail includeing all text where this occur. Copyright doesnot allow
you to copyright aword or than idear only how you express that idear. Certain % of the work must be the same but that not mean your copyright was violate as some words are consider null words which will be use everyday by common people or book meant to certain occuplateion of people. Than booking dealing with medice will have certain words alway use by medical doctor in they day to day work and will alway be use in just book. Null words donot count in copyright cases.

It depends on ultimately whether the copyright holder will release it.

The song Happy Brithday is copyright by than very wealthly man who put in the public domain as he didnot want to have the hassle of sueing everybody in the world that sung this easy to remember song at birthday party. He still hold the copyright in case someone try to put it back under copyright like the RICA.

I can't even change TECHNAME.LBX, "Cyber-Security Link" --> "Cyber-Security Bleh" without crashing Moo2 at startup.

Looks like I'll have to stick with OCL and good ol' byte hacking.

The program MultiEx Commander can already read LBX files, and this program has now been open sourced, so you can check out what they found out about the LBX format.

Arculis mentioned the OCL editor for MOO2 techs. If anyone doesn't have this, they can download it (and many other editors) from the zoetrope site:

www.sff.net/people/zoetrope/

and follow the links, or directly to:

ftp.sff.net/pub/people/zoetrope/MOO2/

well, it's rather easy, if you know how to work with a hex editor (I'd recommend Hexworkshop) just open up stream.lbx (or somesuch) and select a block from one occuring of 'RIFF' to the next. Save it as a new file (preferably as a wav file) and convert it to mp3.

Arculis ... TECHNAME.LBX was heavily Moded in 1.32 if I could remain sober for a few hours maybe I could help you.

CharlesBHoff:
Sehr frech: I have the Intro Music and the Music for each race .... the result of researching 1,000 Moo2 sites for 1.32 Mod

Oh We have a member in Our Kali Moo2-Multiplayer Community who has fixed a few bugs using Assembler / Disassembler and Debug Tools. I think it will be released as 1.4 .... I hope to get some of the 1.32 Mods (especially the Spelling corrections) Included as 1.4
