Stargate SG1 Series Premere Tonight!
on scifi from 9-11, a 2 hour show! micheal shanks returning as Daniel Jackson! How are they going to do it? here's my theory:

Spoiler:
do you think the fact that daniel jackson tried to stop anubis forced Olma(sp?) to send him back as a human? or is he goig to have gallons of super powers?

from 8-9 there is a sort of "the making of stargate" show, should be interesting.

Uh... speer... Fox only held rebroadcast rights of reruns.
The original network to carry it was Showtime. Some day, these episodes will appear on an over the air network

Ming:

yeah in a year right?

though i think sci-fi also got the rights to a lot of the reruns... how can both fox and sci-fi have rights to re-runs?

thanks

I will have to wait until tomorrow to download that from the Stargate episode site . BTW, here's the deal:

Spoiler:
Yeah, Oma did prevent Daniel from kicking Anubis's butt, and for that he will be descending, as a human, and without any memories. BTW, nude.

A show can be sindicated to whoever many stations the production company that owns the rights to the series cares to.

Fox bought the rights to episodes that originally appeared on Showtime. SciFi retains the rights to reruns which originally aired on their network.

Since SciFi is a cable channel, there is no problem with the producers of Stargate selling over the air rights to another network. However, it will probably be more than one year before they turn up on another network.
SciFi will want to get their moneys worth first.

He's probably refering to www.stargates.tk, which only carries the episodes from the latest season (and they're only very small WMV files that weight in at about 25meg each). You can probably get older (and better quality) episodes off Kazaa.

Yeah... I watch it. But mostly because the family watches it. There really isn't much SF left on TV anymore.

though I think Stargate has fallen off... it was good when it was just the SG teams going to planets populated by basically humans living as ancient civilizations... but now with all the aliens they've thrown in and the whole think with Daniel Jackson being some kind of god... it's just too crazy now. before it wasn't really that much science fiction so i liked it.

Great season premiere!!

For those that saw it: did you notice the blatant SW and ID4 rip-offs?

As for Jonas.

Spoiler:
Not gone, but isn't going to appear in every episode. Still, he and his planet will play an important role
.

Hmm, no download ability on my fave site yet... oh, BTW, it is legal to download these eps, so . Shame they're poor quality.

I heard that there are Star Wars references in the episodes. A question - has every American seen those Star Wars, or what? Anyway, SG1 remains the best sci-fi series I know ofon TV now.

I went cross-eyed each time they did that, but I couldn't put my finger on exactly WHY those moments looked so familiar. Now I know...
