That's what I'm hoping to see with the survey. I hope all the MPer's that view this forum vote, even if they don't post.

hey atawa with those settings why not make it a stipulation that you have to stand on one leg and close one eye while playing Also you can only build wonders once they become obsolete.

Additional I like sim-starts. Simultan playing until first contact with the opponent spends lots of time.

the way to play is x1x1........ but i suppose if your going to play x2x2 it should be done on larger worlds...

small worlds suck for x2 move

True, but either 2x2x or 1x1x for me usualy, 2x1x is too much trench warfare with way too many units.

but i am a true x1x1 player.....again, better on a larger world where the terrain is less hostile

That's not a bad suggestion. In fact you could extend it by making it simult until war breaks out somewhere on the map.

Usual settings for the games I host - deity, 1x1x archipelago, slightly larger than small map, no city or unit bribe except against the ai though ai usually not included. Barbs at villages. No alliances but tech trading and other cooperation allowed. Simult preferred but by agreement.

Hey, I just voted and all my prefs are in the majority categories:
deity/1x1x/villages/med map/islands/no AI/no city bribe/no alliances...
I can now host with broadband so I'll propose to use these popular settings, eg the new Aussie Sat night game

We already played games up to the end simultaneously. With war however confidence and discipline are necessary. There´s a sequence which shows the units may be moved, (normal color sequence). If a player moved all his units, he gives the ok for the next. Discipline is necessary, because also wounded units may not move up to the ok.
