Any know is this 150" bigscreen TV is true????
Has anyone heard of the 150" bigscreen tv? It's supposed to turn your tv into a projector and can get an image 150". Does anyone know if these things work or is it a scam? Hopefully not, cuz I bought mine last thursday and it arrived today. if not i'll use their money back guarantee. So has anyone tried this kit? any thoughts? would be damn cool for video games!!! the address is www.maxtheater.com.

Hehe. "6x Fresnel lens" In other words, they put a big magnifying glass in front of your TV. Give it a miss.

We'll see. they claim to have 2000+ satisfied customers. I'm building a cardboard version of it now and once it's dark i'll try it on my little 13" tv and let you guys know how it works

I do hope you realize that doing that won't improve your resolution. And let me add that the resolution on your little 13" TV is going to suck. Magnifying the image just means you'll get a better veiw of all the flaws.

And as far as customer testamonails... Hmm. You know, I really should put up a site and sell all those old bridges I've got that are just lying around the country.

ok, I put it on my tv and shined it at my wall and it projects the image big, but it's faint. It's pretty light in the room though, I'll wait about half hour till it's dark and hopefully it'll improve.

when settlers come to the OT forum, people accuse them of being a double login which they abbreviate, DL. This means someone made an alternate log in account. people used to do this all the time and still do even hto its forbidden so they could flame people and instigate conflict without ruining their true alter ego. People will accuse you of being a DL and do the DL dance:

note: this doesnt mean that i dont believe you are not a DL... its entirely possible...

One of the frat houses here bought one of these kits. It wasn't good, from what I understand. They were much more impressed with the beach water balloon slingshot.

Even if this huge TV is true it still wouldn't be able to represent the monolithic juggernaut that is the SNAKE IN MY PANTS

ok here's the result:

I tried the cardboard version, on a 13" TV (might be 14"). I projected it on my white wall and it's definately a big ass picture. Maybe not 150", but definately atleast 8 feet. The picture was kinda faint, so I re-sealed the box so no light escaped, that helped. So I played Halo and let me tell you, when master chief is bigger than you, it's crazy.

Still though I'd like to improve the image a little. There instructions show how to build a screen which is supposed to improve the picture up to 6 times. Also they say the wood version projects a lot better picture.

But for $20, damn I'd recommend it. Especially for gaming, it's pretty sweet. I'm gonna build the wood version, so I'll let you guys know what that does.

Hey if anyone buys it and chooses to get their membership service, whould you be a pal and let me know what goodies it provides
