We speak Finno-Ugric languages, but that doesn't yet mean we are racially bound to each other. Which we aren't for now as that has not yet been proven.

Hey man, if you don't like to be associated with them you shouldn't have stolen that coastline from the Teutons.

Precisely, I'm not paying, it sounds like a pretty boring article...and hence a pretty crap thread...and because it would be a Wall Street Journal only thread, it is thus a group thread. Close it Ming, close it!

I just wanted to point out, that neither me, nor any clone of me reside in Finland, and we're surely not being kicked by Estonia.

Aaaaaaaaaagh! Those nasty Estonians.. They've been doing pretty good in that sport every time. I think we have a rivalry. They won it this time.. Grrrrr....

But we still dominate the more important games like Sauna championships and hockey

Damn straight. Like Paulie in Goodfellows.

Umm...I get counted as a Finn, when they do a census on Poly. No kidding. Kassie or whoever it is counts me.

Only 2 Dutch guys and me were willing to jump from the warm Sauna into the snow. All the other Euro types were unwilling. (the girls were yelling at us for our naked bottoms though...)

I later found out that this behavior was not considered proper for Company members at a paid training course...but my Finnishinstructor (also called Pecka) gave us certificates.

You did the only thing possible, naked rolling in the snow and the whole nine yards. It sounds crazier than it really is.

I didn't think it was that big a deal. Not like having your dolphin pin "tacked on" or similar games.

But it was fun to get honored in front of the class with a certificate.

Why should the Finns care about wife-carrying? The ratio of men to women in Finland at puberty (an important time for this kind of thing) is 1.04 to 1, so I don't think they're as heterosexually oriented as nonevil beings. Instead, they spend that time becoming computosexual or pornosexual.

The Estonians devised a better method for wife carrying. Upside down and in back.

So you already have trade war with the Latvians, refuse to be associated with the Estonians... Don't you think time has come for an external judge, impartial and generous, to step forward in order to help you peacefully resolve the mess that the Baltics have turned into since their independence?
