/me wonders if the office of the Foreign Ministry is but a puppet for the Ministry of War. If we are to remain in war until the Minister of War says otherwise, it is unlikely that this war will end. Perhaps the Foreign Minister could develop a policy other than war with all we encounter? Though I am second to none in my respect for our armed forces, I do not think we should expect them to fight a war on three (or perhaps more) fronts.

I hope the people voice an opinion on this matter.

I would like to officially deny the notion that Hydey has his hand up my a*se.

When the FAM sees a reason for peace, there will be peace. ATM if the Minister of WAR is confident he has the troops for attacking, that is what shall happen. After all, you can't extort gold or tech without bonking heads, and we can't build caravans. We'd like Wonders, and this is the only way to get them.

However, your comments have given me an idea for a further remit for the FAM, and I will look into this for the next session.

We are only fighting one war at a time, if the other civs want to say we are at war , then that is fine with me, tell them to take a number and wait their turn.

Since it's a demo-game I think it's up to the ppl to decide if we stay at war,not our SMC(he may try to influence everybody so we stay at war, but he really isn't the only voice in the discussion). btw since we encountered a new species(Americans) you could have done the poll.

Still awaiting the Cityplanner report.
and then off we go

May I ask the King when he expects to play, just so as to organise time to look at the save as quickly as possible when you deliver it

Again the President sets me on the straight and narrow. OK - I will find something to poll on after the next play.

Since our City-Planners seem to be making a habit of being absent at the same time, I grant our President my personal vote that he just make the d*mn city-planning decisions on his own for the rest of his term. Or he could ask for volunteers to fill the city-planning function, given the absence of any participation of the elected ones (plural).

"Through the problems of real life,
Through the real-world storms and strife,
I have one desire behoving,
Get this game fuchenmoving!"

No city-planner report, deal with it and play!

"In Shade we trust" (for this month).

Cricket practice starts in the morning, this will make it harder to poll the people as quickly as I would normally like.

I believe that I am currently usurping the role of the Sheriff, who was supposed to be back by the 11 of July. Didn't the people elect him as the sheriff, and myself as the deputy?

Anyhow, I should be back regularly, since work will be slowing down over the next few weeks.

Thank you for your patience, and Hydey, where are the Amazons?

If you are the Deputy City-Planner, and the City-Planner is absent, you should be doing the job.

Please and thank you?
