Well I'm back. I shot a 59.
Rah wins with his revised guess, but honourable mentions should go to DeathByTheSword and reds4ever who guessed within 1 shot on their sole attempt.
I'm fairly happy with that score. I had an absolute disaster on the 3rd and 4th where i got a 9 and 10. 
The other 7 holes were much more respectable though.
I'm probably going next week and hope to break 55.

Only the girls get allowed rules like that. They're the only ones allowed mulligans too.
We do play with gimmies, though, because it's just faster that way.
The two friends I went with shot 43 and 49 respectively. I knew they were good, but was impressed nevertheless.

No, 9 and 10 shots in total. 
I blame that stupid ditch. They only put it there to annoy me, I know. And the trees ... the trees were rough. And those guys on the 5th tee weren't too happy that when my ball almost knocked one of them out.
It was an emotional couple of holes.

As it should be...though the ironic thing about golf seems to be that your best scores are gotten when you have very little emotion at all and are "in the zone".
