...He took America from being a backwater country to a world power...certainly not number one but certainly a force to be reconded with (as Kaiser Bill learned a few decades later )
He was also wise enough to break up the trusts, knowning that the concentration of wealth stangles the economy while the disbusion of wealth into the hands of consumers is the basis for economic growth
Washingon was a close second, not so much for what he did as President, but for his integrity in turning down the offer of the crown. He merely had to give the word and he would have been made King of the US.
