playing on one era only
Hi
I want to play a game in ancient times only. I know that I can get that by deleting all technologies but then I have to delete lots of units one by one. Does anybody know a better way?

stop playing once you reach the middle ages.
But if you want to retire by a certain date that is earlier just edit the maximum number of turns with the editor. I hope this answers your question.

Sounds like you are talking about playing till one of the win conditions are met, but not using anything from the other ages. If so, I wold image that will require some modding. Maybe someone has done it, check the creation forum.

I'll do that, thanks. The thing is that I want to continue playing the game in ancient era in terms of tech and units, I don't care if I the date is year 2003. I'll do what you suggested
I thank you and Sheik for taking care.

I understand more now. Well this is what you could do:
make any first teir Middle Ages techs require Modern techs to be researched. This way you will never be able to research these because you wont have the modern techs that you have modded the middle ages techs to require.
Hope that helps.
