Seems correct, except the Tactical Combat. Why would we want that off? You can not even design a ship with it off.

I'll turn it on tonight. I just left it off as I couldn't remember any conversation on it. This IS a democratic dictatorship, after all. Darlenia was the only planet name really offered up in the thread for it. No one mentioned galaxy age/type so I just left it at average.
OT, I thought that tactical combat was only controlling ships in combat, not design. I'm pretty sure I turned this off before and was able to still design ships.
edit: I just tried a download and mine didn't work either. I'll try to upload it again tonight.

The way to get the save file is to go to right click 'save target as' and then save it. Then rename the file to a zip file and extract. The save file should extract normally. It worked for me at least.

It's not zipped but it may be able to be renamed as save1.gam.

You cannot use the design button when tactic combat is off.
I could DL the file using the save target, but it was invalid, even if I renamed it and tried to unzip it.

Can you download the game I previously posted? I think vmxa1 means the upload service.
I've tried to use the upload service but had trouble listing a link in the past. I'll try again tonight. Sorry I didn't get the game up last night but I had some personal stuff blowing up and didn't have time. I'll do it when I get home today.

Harry, I found that you can DL it if you use one of the Ultra Light styles. You will not have the problem with the scripts and no msgs from using last post buttons.
I do not want to use it all the time, but you can go to the main page and select one of the styles (none for Moo2) or go to control panel and edit options.

Ok, then let me try attaching the game with tactical turned on, same specs. In case this doesn't work, here's the link from the upload service:

I thought there was a way to get the link from the upload section but since I couldn't find it I just copied the shortcut. Probably won't work but then you shouldn't expect too much from your elected officials.

I got it DLed, BTW I sure like the looks of that rich planet in the system.
I played it out to get the learn to fly techs to verify it was the old one and had no design, and it was the old one.

Rich planet? Too bad this one has only a poor barren and Heavy Gravity Barren along with minimal star systems within reach. The old one sounded better.... oh well , we definitely want tactical combat - so we can better destroy all of those enemy ships

Ok, looks good So do we poll placement of workers or does everyone realize that we should just put them on research, and how about polling which techs we go after?
Who will handle setting all that up, the Minister of affairs, the defense ministerm,etc?

I forgot what the method is, but I think it is that someone place x number of turns and post a save. I do not know if anyone has any input to the moves or not. I do not even know how many turns are going to be done first pass.
I think I will run a log for the first 40 turns for myself. Evenually we will get the word.

For the start we have to decide some things:
- research order
- shall we sell our starbase at the start or not.
- what shall we colonize and when.
There is no doubt that we have to do some production accumulation besides the research. When we reach Automated factories or Research labs we must have exactly 30 production accumulated, so we can buy the rest at the lowest price.

Hmm, well now.
First off I vote that you buy the Research lab, second consider switching from biology to construction. also try to give a rough estimate of what happened during the turn.
I see we have 10 people now, and the first two computers tech researched.
