Pop-rushing in last patch
I've played a single player game on a huge map for some time, and did some pop-rushing here and there.
Stupid me installed the last patch in the middle of this epic game, and now citizens are unhappy like h%&#.
Obviously something has been tweaked here.

My question is: what, and how much has been changed in the new patch in relation to pop-rushing?

You don;t say what patches are involved, but I do not see anything list in a quick scan of thereadme. I know that is not conclusiveas I could have missed it or it may not have been listed.

Poprushing under despotism means you're still in the Ancient ages, why do you need to rush so early in the game anyway?

There has been a change from patch version 1.16f to 1.29f
Just wanted to know how much unhappiness this hurrying causes, and how many shields each citizen transform into.
It seems however that the newborn citizens of the city never forgets this oppression of their ancestors...
Long-angry stubborn people, they are...

Pop-rushing early in the game made me able to knock three of my opponents dead, and reduce four others to slaves for my empire.
And more, some of the cities which are far away from both my capital and ForbPalace never end up contributing ANYTHING to the overall science and unit production of my empire. Just as good to feed their citizens to my production lines! Especially in the cities with great foodresources this is an easy choice.

But with the new patch the penalties has been increased...
Understandingly, because this gave me a huge advance in fron of the rest of the lot!

Yeah this was considered an exploit and was fixed up a bit. Now you loose the happy citizens when you rush instead of the unhappy ones.

I do not know if they made the penalties that much more severe or not, but they prolly did.

So that's it! Probably there isn't more to it.
Exploit? You bet!

Thanks, stranger! You're job is done here now...
